Topic: Help needed interpreting cards

Firstly, I have a question about tarot in general. Is it possible that instead of getting answers to a certain question, the cards advise something else?So, I made a few readings about my love life recently and I found 2 similar ones where I asked about the period from the 2nd half of April to the middle of May. Now I pulled: Strength - 8 of Pentacles - Death The other one was: 4 of Pentacles - 3 of Pentacles - 10 of Swords
And the summary card was Strength.
I feel this isn't really about my love life, but the cards want to warn me to rather take care of 'business' first and then I can go out and play later.
Could you give me some more insights about this one? I'm really curious if there are other opinions!  IP: Logged |

It's possible, but I believe it doesn't switch topics like that. It's possible to get Coins in a love related spread that have nothing to do with money, or business. That's a common thing most Tarot readers do. They have this fixed belief that coins always equal money..it drives me bonkers when I pay for a reading & since I usually get coins, they always pull this crap :/. Every card can be related to the topic at hand. The intent is to focus on that only.What I mean by being possible is if you ask how a man feels about you & you get Hierophant Empress and 3 of Cups for example. This doesn't mean he wants to marry you and have kids with you, it means he is married and has a wife (maybe even kids). BUT this strongly depends on how you frame the question at times. (If you ask: What do I need to know about soandso's feelings for me and you get these cards, then you need to know that he has a wife/gf and is married/in long term relationship, but finds you attractive) Did you have anyone in mind when you asked this question? I once asked what would happen between me and a guy by the end of the month and got
Hermit- lover- 3 of cups It looked nice but I had this nagging feeling about it. The 3 of cups turned out to be his ex reentering the picture. (She's permanently out now). IP: Logged |

From the strength,8 cups, and death, in a general love reading. You have hard times coming up. You have the courage, will, and perserverence to overcome it. Perhaps there is something you need to end to be able to grow and move onto the next phase in your life. The preceding cards to death indicate that you have the ability to do this. Hi, I used to think that when I just started reading cards. But not sure that was the case or that I didn't know how to match the cards to the topics yet. Now it is always the more specific I am, the more specific answer I get in that theme. The cards above can very well tell you of a short-lived affair that is mesmerising. Or an intense one night stand even  Just some thoughts. I would read a longer spread usually to get a full picture. IP: Logged |

Actually it was the 8 of Pentacles, but maybe that doesn't change things. I already have some hard times, but it's not love related. (Health problems and I'm quite busy because of my studies) By the way, you're spot on with the new phase! I'm on the verge of opening a new door, so it definitely makes sense! IP: Logged |

These are exactly the things I'm not looking for. I guess I'm under the influence of a whole wagon Scorpio energy!

LOL, oh okay. But did anything I said made some sense to you? If not, disregard it.In general, it seems to be saying that you will be busy somewhat trying to let go (or clear) some things from your past. That you still have some 'clearing' out to do (maybe some past baggage?). Hope that makes sense . quote:

The clearing thing is so true! The first 3 months were like hell, and I feel I still need to do some healing.

I was just playing with the cards combination
Strength can show up as lust and pents for the body (8 pents for an intense focus). Go with the other 2 interpretations and discard this one. Would love to hear any updates though

Although, it might be true! These days even some guys don't show their true colors, they deceive girls with their "nice personality" then totally leave them abandoned... We'll see if I meet one! :P
