Help me out? No idea what I'm doing, let alone how to read it. I've tried to practice with my own charts and Google how to read for a few months... guess I need to try harder. I can trade you a tarot, reading though I have a bit of queue. I'll be out of the office in 2 hours or so, and have big plans to power through the other readings... so yeah!!

I want to try to help with this one, but can you give a little bit more background on your question? I'm not sure if the workshop is school related or if it's something for your job..Also, I'm still learning how to read these charts, so my response may not be 100%! I'd be glad to try to help you anyway. IP: Logged |

Sure thing! It's a career-related workshop that would DEFINITELY boost my CV, but the problem is it's pretty competitive. Lots and lots of people vying for 10 small spots. Thanks for your help, Kay! I appreciate it! I am trying to learn too, but something about horary... just, mega blocks. I want to take a class on it at some point though. I think it's unbelievably fascinating.IP: Logged |

It really is! I've never taken a class, but have been studying it for at least a year or longer. Still, there is so much to it that I always feel like I'm learning something new. Anyway, I'll take a look at it now and will get back to you soon!

Okay, so for this chart I've used the 10th house to represent the workshop because it has to do with your career. With Virgo on the ASC, and Gemini on the MC, the ruler for you and the thing asked about is the same (Mercury). Since this is the case, I will have to look to the Moon to represent you instead. Good news is that the Moon is moving to make an applying sextile to Mercury, so I would think that this will bode well for your odds of getting in. I think that you've made a good impression on them, but that the selection process is still taking place since it's an applying aspect. On the downside, Mercury is placed in Pisces, so it is not only peregrine, but is also in the fall and in detriment.. but lucky planet Jupiter (also in detriment), which is placed in the 10th house of career, is in mutual reception by sign with Mercury. This helps to alleviate the negative effects of their placement. Jupiter doesn't make an aspect to the Moon or to Mercury though, so I would say that odds are likely you won't be end up taking part in the workshop.. either due to you not being chosen (less likely), or you being chosen but opting to forgo it instead. With Mercury (or the workshop) being peregrine anyway, it might be for the best. Peregrine planets lack the strength to have lasting benefits, and with it being representative of a job-related workshop, it can suggest that it may not be as beneficial as you're thinking it could be, or that there are some unforeseen problems associated with it. I may have missed some things, but I try to read horary charts as simply as I can (they can be somewhat confusing for me if I over-analyze them). Maybe someone else with a bit more experience can help read it too? Either way, I hope that what I've said makes sense.. if not, I can try to answer any lingering questions that you may have! Good luck to you, Becca. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Kay. I can't say that's EXACTLY what I wanted to hear, ha ha, and I guess honestly destiny is what we make it... but I super appreciate you taking the time to do this! It means a lot. I won't know until August/Sept. if I get or not, but I'll keep you on the up and up. Everything happens for a reason, so it's not like I could be mad if I didn't get in... but God would it be awesome :PThanks again!!! IP: Logged |

You're welcome! Please do keep me updated on things It'll be interesting to compare this chart with what happens in the future, and great for learning as well. I honestly think that the odds are in your favor with this, but just make sure that it's everything it seems to be if you do get accepted. I know you'll be good either way
