Hi, does anyone know what this combi means? 9 swords with 10 cups. It's from a 3 card reading. Emperor, 9 swords, 10 cupsDoes it mean the outcome would be successful? I find it interesting that 10 cups would follow 9 swords. IP: Logged |

The 9 of swords and then the 10 of cups would suggest that happiness/fulfillment is possible in the next chapter. That is contentment is coming after the stress of this time period. It is worth the current hardship, working through the fears/anxiety - I assume though that since this is a three card reading you are going for Past/Present/Future. And also, that this is a relationship reading? My question is how does he feel about me now? I've been getting psychic vibes from him and wondering what that's about. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Hello ImeanJ!Thank you for your reading! It's about a new job situation. I just pulled 3 cards, not sure how they synthesize. Do you think this means I get the job? How does the Emperor play in here?
Ok, I have pulled 3 cards for you. Take to mean past/present/future. I got 5 cups (r), King of pents (r) and King of wands.
I take it that there was a breakup in the past that was painful and debilitating. Deep sorrow is in his past love life. So he puts his value into his work, and neglects his feelings. He is hard at work and currently still in the "paper chase", and doesn't really want to acknowledge feelings. You can expect that he won't take any chances right now. In the future, you can see when he is balanced and regains his confidence he will start to chase you. I pulled one more card for clarification, and it's a Queen of Wands (r). It seems an underlying reason for his stagnation is a woman who blocks him. I'm not sure who she is but she seems controlling and he will have to get past the block she sets before anything can happen. OR
the queen of wands can point to an older, light haired woman, who he is thinking of getting together with but is having doubts. If that is the case, he needs to be over his doubts and gain confidence before anything can happen.

Thanks for the clarification about the work - I made assumptions with the Emperor - but now it makes sense the authority. I am out the door at the moment.Yes, it was a break up. Recently, wrote him an email to wish him a Happy Birthday because of the energy and was just wondering how he was doing. Unsure if us being together would be the best, but still wish him well. Your reading was really helpful. I think it points to more my love life in general - I feel the King of Wands might be someone else or him, regardless, the cards are good. Likewise, the Queen of Wands reversed, makes me think that it actually might be a good friend of mine who will help me out. Another friend read for me this morning and there were some similar themes!-- In regards to the Emperor, might thought is that it your boss or an older colleague might seem frustrating at times, but will become an ally - he is teaching you. The 9 of swords is more that there is no need to be fearful/anxious at work. Don't over think it - that is, it is a self fulfilling prophecy whatever you think/say/etc will manifest. So stay positive and focus on getting the work done and doing the best you can do - not so much how others see you or even how you see your own shortcomings. The Emperor is likely an ally with his help you will become indispensable. Let me know how this sounds. And feel free to do some more interpretation of the cards in my reading. Hi ImeanJThanks for your reply! Actually I was asking about an interview situation. I haven't yet got the job. Does it change the situ somewhat?
I'm really not sure I'll get the job, but the Emperor seems like the authority figure you speak of. Could the 10 cups mean another job?
Thanks for your advice on not overthinking. I think that is one of the key issues.

King of Wands in your situation I believe it is him, because the next card was the Queen of wands (r) that you took to be his mom. Actually your confirmation tells me to trust my first instinct. My intuition told me it was a block from someone.. but it could also mean an olderwoman (from him) who he is having doubts about. I presume you aren't older than him.
reversed cards aren't really my forte either. But mostly they are seen as negative I believe.

The Emperor more seems like the person who would hire you or is your boss. If this is about an interview, I'd take the interviewing/job hunting process as the 9 of swords and the 10 of cups stating that you will get this job or another so there is nothing to worry about. That is the outcome is good and that its best not to worry - plus, there is someone out there looking out for you. Look to find a position with someone who will teach you and nurture you and your maturity.Thanks for reading for me. I also happened to have a friend read this morning and the two readings together make much more sense. Thanks imean, for your reading and interp! I really like and hope for the good news, and having a mentor would be great as well.It's good you are able to synthesize both reads with your friend's. I like how synchronicity plays a part sometimes. To me, king of wands can be a virile, confident man who is take charge and can work a room. Maybe you were thinking of someone else with that. They can also be sexual and commanding too. It could be a new man like u said, but I focused the question on JK and it likely is about him. Seems to me he is in a phase of healing himself, like bringing himself up totally. He will likely be able to achieve this soon. But the attraction to you that you may have felt would seem physical for now. As his emotions are spent as per 5 cups reversed. He may not be willing to think of committment. He wrote a long email and wants to talk - he said he was wounded. So sounds about right, not much else to report. Was surprised to hear from him, but thought of your reading and wanted to update.
