So, the question is: Is he single?

Some context: I was told by a mutual friend that he was interested in me, and I had a hard time believing it at the time. Just the other night, I was on the phone with my friend, who is his workout buddy, and asked him what this guy is like, since I don't know him well at all. Well, the friend said that he actually has a girlfriend. So, I'm thinking our friends might have their wires crossed, or something lol, hence the horary.

So, he is Venus, and there are conjunctions, but they are separating. The only applying aspect here is to Saturn, but it is retrograde and near the ASC, so what would that mean for the question here? Also, should my eleventh house be factored into the picture, since I heard about this from a friend?

He sort of approaches you with a semisextile, so you might get some sort of a chance with him (it is not as strong as a Ptolemaic aspect and some astrologers wouldn't even count it, but IMO an aspect is an aspect lol). Don't put too much hope on it though. It might be news or he'll add you as a friend on a social network etc, smth rather subtle than dramatic (dramatic would be Ptolemaic aspect lol).

Chart also shows your interest in him and your confusion (sq to Neptune). Situation could be frustrating or full of anxiety for you as well. Tbh I don't quite like Sat on Asc and Asc in Via Combusta. Things are unclear and perhaps dangerous.

Okay, so I'm gonna regurgitate some of what you wrote, just to make sure I have it clear. I am a noob lol!

Since Venus (him) is in Cancer, and the ASC (me) is in Scorpio, that would explain the triplicity, or the interest. But, my ruler Mars is in fall when in Cancer, so that would explain something that is off-putting to him about the situation, since that is where Venus is placed.

There is definitely a lot of weird feelings around him, and the whole situation. For one, we haven't even really connected or conversed. We've had small talk, but we have never made direct eye contact. Tbh, I've kinda avoided it, because I feel like, even with the tiniest crush, once eye contact is made, I'm a goner lol. Also, it's cool how you mention some sort of jealousy with him as I had a tarot reading about him last week, and the reader said that he admires me a lot, almost to the point of envy. I'm a bit in the spotlight at the place where we run into each other, so I think I kinda get that. He has Sun opp Pluto, like me, so there is definitely some intensity there.

Lol, I'll take that minor aspect! Hopefully, it's an actual conversation or something. Now with the Moon applying to Jupiter, do you take that to mean either progress or someone new in 4 time units (whatever those might be lol)?

Thanks for explaining derived houses, as that is always something that confuses the heck out of me! One last question, does Saturn represent someone else entirely? As in, someone his girlfriend is leaving him for?
