Hi, I pulled some cards for someone in the 'putting one card on top of other way'. Question was: will he contact her again? There had been no contact for a while. 2 pents - 10 pents - 2 wands I read this as a no (2 * 2 is duality for me). Also expected him to be busy with life in general and most likely too much difference in background. I'm not 100 % sure though. Any other views (confirming or contradictive) will be highly appreciated IP: Logged |

Prob not too soonYes 2 pents is a very boyish card for me in general, all that fun and independence and multi tasking. 2 wands - loneliness innit? Anyway the sadness aspect of this card strikes me somehow. 10 pents is the funny one here. Off the top of my head I'd say it's like they both have a life and a circle of friends/loved ones, he is comfy with his while hers makes her unhappy. Also maybe since the wands might be representing her she seems to be the one willing to speed things up, he prob doesn't see this lack of contact as a lack Funny I think this phrase "different circles" came into my head, then I remembered different background was mentioned in your post. I wonder how it manifests itself symbolically in the imagery itself. I can see how 2 wands vs 10 pents might mean she is not part of his world, almost made from a different substance, but maybe im just trying to read in too much because I love your interp IP: Logged |

Hi Andstuff Thanks for sharing your views! Very helpful. I often see the ten of pents coming up for 'not of someone's world' - will not fit into the 'family values' one has brought up with. I know this is a rather different take then the official 'happy' interpretation of this card, but I always look closely how they come up in combination with other cards. I also noticed that when reading 3 cards (one of top of other) the middle card seems to be the key. Especially because the 2's on the left and right are also there I feel the difference between them is made even stronger. So it came across as the deal breaker to me. I like the phrase 'different circles'! Very 2 pents ( juggling makes circles) and 10 pents. 2 of wands I can see as a 'different world'. The one he holds in his hand and the one already build. 2 of wands also seems to show itself lately as one trying to push his/her world onto the other. I thought along these lines too: quote: Originally posted by andstuff:

Just off the top of my head, without having considered too much. I feel (though I know the two's represent two separate people) decision or choices comes to mind. One card is like a juggling act almost about to drop one of the pentacles he's juggling and its just going to happen. Where as, the other one is thinking thoughtful about a decision in the distance. Though in many ways they are approaching things in a different manner in a way a decision or choice is being arrived at - just different paths to it. I would say that the 10 of pents is the decision/choice being made - i.e. one person just wants the 2.5 kids/dogs and wants to go happily enough along - likely the 2 of pents person as for them its enough of a juggle, where as the other one has a larger world view and is like that is not going to be enough for me. I want more, I see more, I need to go towards more - the world is my oyster type of mentality. Kind of like what was said about different worlds, but more about the fact that there is action and choices being made in the situation... Anyhow, just my two cents. Hug! IP: Logged |
