About 6 months or so ago I did a relationship reading for me and a guy I felt very close to. We were good friends and coworkers at the time and I felt something was there on both sides. I did a spread and ended up getting the 4 of Pents upright as the outcome. This made perfect sense to me, I got the impression that things would continue as they had but both of us would hold the feelings we had for each other back because of our circumstances. The cards (and my interpretation) was right, we remained good friends and there was/is and obvious connection but both of us have our reasons for not expressing and pursuing things. Not a bad thing, just the way things have to go sometimes.

Recently, my sister started taking a interest in someone and she asked me to do a reading for her. I did the same spread and for the outcome/where is this heading card I pulled the 4 of Pents, but this time it came up REVERSED. I paused a bit at this card because I was entirely sure what to think. I don't particularly like this card (especially not in a relationship reading) but in this case I wasn't sure if it meant holding on to things more and keeping a sure distance, or letting go a little bit and opening up with perhaps a chance of things going somewhere. The surrounding cards were okay to positive. But I feel like this card could go both ways.
