I just started this new job, it's actually my first job but I have been making so many mistakes & I feel bad about myself . I don't want to rep the branch in a bad way. I don't see myself staying in there for long.

Should I leave my current job or should I wait a little longer?

What would happen if I stayed?

Hi Milly,
I drew some cards for you. As you already said, this job doesn't seem promising in a longterm for you. You can consider a lookout after a period of 3 months. It seems you will have offers to consider by 6 months time. I do see some travel at 3 months from now, probably considering an offer out of your current place or overseas.

Until then I feel you will need to patiently be at this place and learn work to equip yourself. May be a certification would also help.

Thank you Cathy. Actually, I don't see myself travelling in 3 months time because I am going back to school in August so I have no choice but to stay in my city. And there is no way I will get an offer overseas, my job is actually a cashier job at a supermarket lol. No overseas offer for these kind of jobs haha

I will stick to it for now but I will give my resumes elsewhere while working there. The posiive thing in staying there is looking at my cute coworker (innapropriate crush) & the money I'll make of course.

Ok, for 3 months I asked what are the probabilities for you to acquire a new job. I got 6 of swords+knight of wands+6 of wands. Somehow I got a feeling of travel seeing the 1st two cards.
You said you are going back to school - will it give you more knowledge to enhance your current skills for work or they are separate entities? Coz I saw High Priestess coming up, so I thought about acquiring knowledge, wisdom and thought about certification that will fetch you a better job. Or do you work for the sake of supporting your studies?

I'm working to get my own pocket money. So I can buy a cellphone & not depend on my mom anymore to pay the bills. The part time work I'm doing is totally unrelated to what I'm studying at school.

Hi Milly,

I didn't look in my cards, but don't leave the job if it is because you feel bad about your mistakes and of feeling insecure. It's your first job and mistakes are ever so normal. You are just learning My advice would be to try it a little longer to see how it goes and if you feel settled in. How many days have you been there now?

Good luck!

Ok. I did think about this when you responded.
I saw the High Priestess coming up again. What I feel is, in order to secure a better job than this, you will have to gain more experience, equip yourself with more knowledge about the subject of your work (may be selfstudy,an online course or peers help) and then lookout for a job and it will be beneficial. All the best.
And I agree with Twirl

So a little update...I have worked there for 5 days only. I checked my schedule for this week and I was given 0 HOURS. I feel really bad because EVERYONE was given hours on the list, except for me. That's how bad they want me gone... I did such a terrible job & plenty of mistakes. This was my first job anyways. I get the hint. I think I'll look elsewhere now. I think they want to fire me. This is so depressing...I actually cried about this yesterday, because I feel like I let myself & other people around me down. My mom, friends were so proud of me because for once I was doing something right. And I screwed up...ugh.

sorry to read this MillyX, but now i see my reading for u making a bit more sense(i needed to re-read a few more things b4 the explanations i gave u last time)

don't be sad about this, the last card if u remember was a well aspected Ace of Spades,(equivalent of death in the tarot) saying that from this 'end of episode' there will be space for a whole new adventure (degree...better job, even while studying)

u probably feel like u do, bcoz u've never 'disappointed' in the past, but don't look at this as a disappointment either.
it was just a job which didn't match u 'energetically' and so some chaos(the minor mistakes)ensued to show u that...

but for now don't base all sense of self worth on this short job adventure, and know u are actually a smart young lady...this just wasn't the right time or place to be at this cashier job.
just look for another part time job u may actually enjoy, and don't think too much about this one.

Thanks Jelly. Yes your reading does make sense Right now I can't help but to feel disappointed. I REALLY wanted a job & now it's a little too late to look for a summer job since all of the positions are already taken (even jobs like Mcdonalds). It took me 2 months to give my resumes everywhere & I was so thrilled when I got this job. Finding a job is so hard especially when you don't have any experience. I did volunteering to help my resume, but managers told me up front that volunteering & work experience aren't on the same level. So I guess I'm just heartbroken because I'm back to square one again. And I can't help it my confidence is crushed >< & I feel like crap. I'm feeling very 3 of swords right now.

I think I will obviously get over this set back...In the future I'll see it as a positive experience. But right now, it'll take time for me to heal from all of this hurt. I'm just frustrated because since I was 16, I wanted a job and I wanted to make money & now I'm 19....And it still isn't happening.

Hi MillyX,
Just some thoughts. I don't say these in relation with the cards. I have personally experienced this 0 hours on attendance and even my colleagues had this experience, which was wholly a technical error on the attendance system. This is not to say that you simply can discard your worries regarding this, but there is a possibility that it is a technical error also since you are a 5-day old employee and the system is going wrong with a new data.

Hopefully it is not related to you getting fired. I also see you have made up your mind for any possibility. All the best for your choices anyway. I understand you would have really tried hard to find a job, and this disappointment hurts you a lot. You are still 19 and still have a lot of time to learn and achieve things in life. All the best for your efforts.

So I talked to the manager today. She has been on vacation for the past few weeks (which means I was not working ). Checked the schedule again & I am still given no hours for this week. I asked her if this was some kind of mistake, she said no. She said I am on the bottom of the list...my work performance is really that bad. Therefore no hours for me. They are so trying to make me quit

I feel like this summer was...wasted. Sure it was a really fun summer going out with friends, but my goal was to add stucture to my life: work & earn money. Not to mention when you go out & have fun with your buds....you need money & I don't want to depend on my mother anymore. Money is currently tight.

Well, at least you asked her why. And this kind of job just doesn't suit you.
Bit ****** about the money. Maybe there's some other jobs around.
