so i just did a, "what should i know moving forward" 5 card for myself... 3 of pentacles king of swords (r) 4 of pentacles world nine of cups (r) i usually read where the first 2 cards things fading away, middle card is present, and last two are what's coming into play. i get the first three cards -- they ring unfortunately true, but i want to make sure i'm hitting the last two right. the world is saying that i just need to keep being and growing and learning and doing. i am at a point where i can honestly go anywhere and having anything, and if i'm diligent, be happy and successful. the nine though... i can't decide if it's saying i'm going to be disappointed though, not getting what i really want, or if it's telling me to not be so materialistic and focus of money and possessions (security, i am concerned about security often) and just do. just be. just create and go and live? help? i will compliment you. maybe even do a lil dance. not sexy, but certainly sincere.

Hi, I think the 9 of cups might be saying: Don't get effected so much by set backs & scream (or cry murder). It's self sabotaging & stopping you to really move forward in the world. So keep an eye out for the Leo drama queen mode It also often shows for low confidence/self esteem. This is in relation to your writing? (So don't cling on to past failures. It doesn't say anything about you and/or the quality of your work, but it's asking you to be aware of the tendency to feel it that way & get highly emotional over it) IP: Logged |

Wow. Yes. I mean, writing and work in general. I do have a tendency to get negative nancy. I'm not much of a screamer or pouter. I'm a keep-it-on-the-inside girl. Thanks for this, Twirl. I appreciate it. This is why you should never read yourself, rofl. Can't see the forest for the trees

Tell me about it, lol. I always go like: huh? What?? When reading own cards. Glad it was of help I didn't mean screaming out loud btw, but really those inner screams. In a way this card RX is like the 5 of cups, but where the 5 cups is more of a 'sigh' (can't think of the English word) it goes as it goes card/bygones etc. This one has so much inner turmoil attached to it. Like in regards to the subject, you put everything into it; your heart, soul & hopes and then 'poof', it wasn't not good enough. So it's a really intense feeling of lack/or someone stepping on it with huge army boots (and then jumping on it too). Which makes you feel really veryvery small... Lol, hope this comes across right. But something like this. IP: Logged |

No, that was... that was pretty a much a 100% accurate description of how I feel when I work my butt off with writing and, like you said, "poof," nothing. I've gotten better about it now that I'm out in the real world, and I've finally started to understand that it's nothing personal and that small setbacks are sometimes the greatest gifts, because they buy you more time, but... I still do have the tendency to pitck fork myself harder than anyone. And I do. I love writing. It's almost like a soul mate thing. It's just what I was meant to do, and I've done it well so far... I just hit the big leagues now. So lots of stress. But yes. No beating myself up. I'll keep an eye out for it IP: Logged |

becca, to me, the cards are asking for clarity, like 'can you be more specific' otherwise its just something akin to keep on plugging or head down, bum up.So what is it really that you want to know. Is the underlying question maybe about, how long is it going to take for me to get out of this hole that I feel that I'm in, then maybe 'what can I do so that my life feels more lasting satisfaction' or 'what do I need to do to feel that I am making progress' or something similar. Maybe even, what situations will come to pass before I feel like things are consistently much better. IP: Logged | |
