Any takes on this?
King of Cups is for me really (often) an alcoholic. Well.. In relation to addictions I mean.
For drugs I'm inclined to put them onto the swords cards. What do think? Any experiences?
I'm really just looking for court cards. So I'm leaving The Devil & Temperance RX out  (Ps: sorry for the typo's!) IP: Logged |

makes sense with the king of cups, scorpio and loss of controlwith drugs maybe the page of cups? pisces, neptune and all that. but it's not 100%, have never seen him in this position i wouldn't assume this is possible to be honest, in the sense that the appearance of a certain court card points to addictions the lover i lost to drugs is often the page of swords but thats because he used to study law and generally tends to go for logic over feelings IP: Logged |

Haven't seen the page in that position too.
But since the king of cups always shows for alcohol abuse, I thought it might be the same for drugs.
I'm thinking of swords, because drugs work much more on the mind than alcohol (changing the chemical balance). Or that's my association with it (so I'm sure it starts showing up like that now, lol). I'm expecting page swords/knight swords (someone on speed/coke/uppers). Mushrooms/LSD etc. for the page of cups perhaps, yes, could work I don't know, lol. Must be a major there present too I assume. nothing relevant to the theme of this thread i'm afraidsometimes the moon or 7 cups. 7 cups is really another drugs one. as in the pic Crawley pinched from someone else from Golden Dawn. Debauch, Venus in Scorpio all that. uppers I'd say... 8 wands????? IP: Logged |

3 of cups is a possibility. Too much celebration, holding the cups higher and therefore holding onto the sensation of what alcohol does for us. 8 of swords for self harming behavior that binds you. It's hard to just point out single cards but I can easily see those as part of combinations. The devil card of course but aside from that. IP: Logged |

oops! Sorry! I skipped over the court cards bit and went straight to cards that could represent addictions. 8 of swords fits because the card is about being bound and not fully realizing/being aware that you can free yourself. Also relates to a lot of mental abuse (being put down a lot where you start to believe what you hear) and a lot of addictions start from trying to free yourself from that only to tie yourself to something else.IP: Logged |
