Topic: Devil and Magican??

These two cards came out as the outcome in a spread. The question was regarding a friend of mine and the r/ship with his mom! Devil was position 10 and magician 6.Anyone have any clues?

Without the full spread, it's hard to say. I mean, just based on the position and the card itself... I'd say the Magician means right now, in the present, anything's possible. Just gotta put your mind to it. The Devil as an outcome can mean so many things... maybe obsession and not letting go of something? Becoming a slave to (insert anything), trouble brewing ahead. The Devil could represent someone's addiction to power, the wish to command, most prob the mother's. But could also be the son's, if he wishes to get all that motherly love and care to make him feel better/give him emotional comfort to feed on. The mother-son relationship means a lot to one of them. Either a mother who tends to be infatuated with male children or a mummy's own lil boy longing for the comfort offered by the womb and scared of the world, poorly suited to coping with life. If this aspect is too far-fetched, it could simply be addiction to power, and the other person just appears conveniently devoted. The Magician would be a certain drive to achieve this, resources invested into getting this outcome. Spontaneously I feel like it's not mutual somehow, so prob just one person having those needs/drives, but maybe I'm not right. Agree with Becca here, the clues might be in the other cards, as well as clues as to who has these unhealthy impulses. IP: Logged |

So i just pulled a few more asking who had the unhealthy impulsesQueen of Pents, Moon as well as Hierophant, Jugement, 9 wands, 10 wands and the Chariot came out. If i am not mistaken, that is the mother!!?? IP: Logged |

I have been having some very clear dreams about this guy and his mother..!!!Did a CC spread today and these came out 9 wands ~ now
four wands ~ crossing for good bad
empress ~ underlying
7 swords ~ leaving
6 wands ~ coming in/crowing
queen swords ~ outcome (with card 10)
emperor ~ negative thoughts
moon ~ people around you
falling tower positive thoughts
devil outcome i used cards 6 and 10 as the outcomes. card 4 as what is passing. i am feeling unhealthy attachments here...the mother is the queen swords (she is an air sign) anyone have any opinions on this? thank you  IP: Logged |

I think the issue here is the mother. She trying to create and ideal home by being controlling and sneaky, well not sneaky to her eyes. She thinks she's doing what she has to and if the ends justify the means she will do it. The outcome created is one of bondage and unhealthy control, one that she needs to break from as well as her son/children. IP: Logged |

Sounds like the weird mommy issues one of my ex's had (actually a couple of them..) this particular one, his mother's favorite color was red, always painted her nails red and had a closet full of red clothes and he would always try to get me to wear red, which happens to be one of my least favorite colors.
