She also said that he will want to take it slow, he doesn't want a relationship, he'll be emotionallu blocked since he will still be in love with his ex ( sucks again lol) So it makes sense that you pulled the 4 of Pents.
For the challenges part you're right, she said that he is a rational, overly analytical person.
And yeah I know that this future relationship won't last, since it'll be my first one. 5 of swords is a hot mess card for me, arguments, conflicts. Plus with an ex involved...I don't think I'll want to stay in that for long :P

I'm afaid that this thing you have doesn't look very positive.9 of spades being a card of suffering, problems, grief & etc. Combine it with the 5 of Spades, a card indicating emotional loss, break ups & etc.

However, having also pulled the 3 of hearts which is a positive card...It's basically a card of happiness & love. Therefore, you might encounter difficulties, delays in the beginnig & things will work out later? Or perhaps you will find somebody better for you.
