I would stick with it and come up with a plan, start thinking about what you want to do and figure that out clearly before you quit. Watch Frances Ha for a pick me up and inspiration. HUGS!IP: Logged |

is it the job that is making you miserable and depressed. if it is. is there anything that can be done at work to help you out. like a boss or support person at the job. try and talk things through with your supervisor if it is the job. if it is other personal problems try to get some support for that. but if it is your job then its good to have other skills that you get another job you enjoy and use the data entry job to pay bills while you get another job you enjoy to pay the bills as well. hugsIP: Logged |

not a reading, but stick with your new job for about a month and if it still doesn't get easier then think about quitting. sometimes if you switch into a job vastly different than what you were doing before all you need is some time to adjust and to wait for tasks to get easier and more familiar. Yeah, I'm doing the same thing all day for a little over minimum wage. Its incredibly boring and my hands hurt from typing, my eyes are sore. I hope I get used to it. The one plus is that I am allowed to listen to an ipod so I can use this time to listen to some spiritual development tools and maybe learn to meditate like i have wanted to for a long time. This job is mindless once you learn how to do it and I can listen to audiobooks. Its just making me really depressed because its full time sitting in front of a computer literally doing the same thing all day. I was going to not go in today and just call and quit but I'm going in and I will see how it goes today.IP: Logged |

my job just recently promoted me to a computer position (I was with people all day before) and I was suffering just like you for the first month. it's been 3 months now and has started to get better. I was crying too and very upset to have a computer as my companion all day instead of people. my back hurts, my neck hurts, my eyes hurt, etc. it is very lonely and isolating. but it does get easier. I talked to my supervisor (after the first 2 weeks) and said that if I wasn't liking it after a month I wanted my old position back, but so far I'm doing ok. stick with it if you can, at least for a bit. I also watch movies on my tablet, which helps
