Is anyone willing to pull a few cards for me? I have been reading for myself with seemingly okay results, but in this instance, I think I need a fresh, neutral perspective to be sure I am getting the message intended for me.

During the last year or two, someone whom I was once close with and who I considered a friend/soulmate (and still do) seems to have almost completely pulled away from me. We've danced around each other, but have not actually spoken in quite some time. Until tonight, I really thought there may still be a chance for us to have a positive reconnection (even though we didn't technically have a falling out). I truly thought we just needed some space to grow separately before coming back together, but now I'm not so sure. There have been times when I thought that was beginning to happen, but it never did. But the synchronicity in this relationship still ebbs and flows.(BTW, we never dated.) I now wonder if this relationship was/is only meant to be karmic. While I understand why he might've wanted to take the silent route, his silence has been....deafening. And disheartening. And it doesn't allow me much peace. But, in my gut, I've always felt that to give up all hope would be the wrong thing to do (even if others disagree).

I am hoping someone can help shed some light on this relationship and/or it's dynamic, so that I can understand what the heck is going on! While I welcome any readings, I think I just need a neutral party to help with the card pulls. Thank you!

I like what you said- how you FELT it was not the right thing to do- to give up hope. So you haven't.

Ya know, I'm a smart cookie. I'm also not naive, and I don't believe in fairytales. I don't believe I'm living in a fantasy land. I was very close to giving up when I started this thread...but I've come to learn that my intuition is usually right. When I think of completely letting go of this person/dream, it still feels....wrong. It feels premature. So if, after all this time, my gut is still telling me "Don't totally let go", then I should probably hold on a little bit longer (even if I'm not sure why)! In the meantime, I'm just gonna keep living and building a meaningful and fulfilling life for myself. No matter what the outcome, I hope 2014 brings some peace for all of us! Who knows what the new year has in store!
