Planet Aspects
The Lights: The Sun and Moon
At the time of our birth, the planets (through their configurations and relationships) tell us
something about how things were when we were born. Each planet points to special qualities
within us. Yet, of all the planets, the two most important planets to astrologers are the "lights,"
the Sun and the Moon. From where we stand here on Earth, the great shining Sun by day and
the reflecting Moon at night are our constant companions. They have much to tell us as to
where we have been and where we are headed.
The Sun: Your Self and Future
From the Sun comes light, that which draws us into life. The Sun represents all the changes
we have not yet taken, that part of us that we have not yet experienced but are headed toward.
The Sun represents our identity, or self, in that it is toward these that we are moving and
developing. Thus, it also represents that which we will become: older people, authorities --
those we look toward, or up to. Our essence, or future. Teachers, gurus, and older (more
experienced) people are represented by the Sun. The Sun is "hot stuff," those further up the road
of life experience.

general. It governs not only ideas, but communications, too. Communications -- by phone,
letter, spoken, or however -- are ruled by Mercury. Also thoughts, connections, phone wires,
and everything that connects and conveys -- even conversations.

compassion we may feel. By the same token, this planet rules enjoyment too. Whether it be
self-appreciation or just plain old decadent self-enjoyment by having a good time, this is Venus.
When we go shopping or are on a spending spree, it is Venus that allows us to appreciate and
value all the good things of life.

Mars is the planet of emotion and inner motivation or drive. When we search for the
meaning of something, life or whatever, it is Mars that urges us on, keeps us searching. Mars
also drives us against things, too and sends us into war and combat. The urgency of Mars, the
search for meaning, is identical to the need for union, yoga, and marriage. Mars is the planet of
union, and marriage is the most common form of yoga. When we have questions about the
opposite sex, we are looking at the planet Mars.
You are always center-stage and entertaining others. You have an almost fierce sense of
pride and are very dramatic and expressive, sometimes forceful. You are a natural at sports,

In the previous sections, we have dealt with planets that we can see with our naked eyes. In
general, these planets refer to life as we know and live it and are the so-called historical or
classic planets. Beyond these are three planets that are not visible in the sky and which have
cycles longer than the average human life span. Since they are beyond Saturn or time,
astrologers call them the trans-personal or transcendental planets -- the planets beyond the
physical. One of the ways astrologers learn something about our life beyond time (eternal life)
is through these three outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Here we find information on
how we discover ourselves (Uranus), how we understand and accept these discoveries
(Neptune), and, in time, how we depend and identify with them (Pluto).
Uranus: Break-Thrus & Insights
Our responsibilities can tend to weigh us down, and we each have our particular ways of
getting around (or breaking through) the mass of obstructions that tends to congeal around us.
The planet that has to do with how we get beyond the difficulties and problems life presents us
is Uranus. Here is the way insights come to us, how we discover or come to know and
understand ourselves. It has to do with finding new uses for old things, and it rules inventions
and sudden insights into our life -- everything that is unusual, eccentric, and out of the ordinary.
It is the reverse of the status quo and is always unconventional and heretical. Uranus is, in many
ways, the opposite, or undoing of Saturn.

These include where planets fall by element (earth, air, fire, or water signs), modality (cardinal, fixed, or
mutable signs), or house (angular, succedent, or cadent). Also included are positive and negative (odd or
even) signs. Generally a nice, even distribution is favored, but a preponderance or a lack of any one
flavors a chart in a particular fashion.
Throughout, lack of any element will find the native seeking out those who have extra of the same to
make up for it. Those who lack water tend to be attracted to very emotionally sensitive types, for instance,
which can seem a strange contradiction, since they don't seem to belong together or communicate well.
Similarly, airless types may seek more professorial companions to explain things they don't know and
probably won't understand, anyway. The fireless are often attracted to religion and find themselves
studying the sermon which everyone else knew to ignore in favor of the choir. Earthless are the least
concerned about making up for their lack, and tend to move blissfully ahead, oblivious to their risks --
possibly because they either succeed wildly against the odds, or perish without further ado because of
them.

Fire:
This element concerns inspiration and change, and lots of it makes for
good orators, preachers, singers, motivators, or anything that sets
people on fire and elevates the spirit. Lack of the element may leave
the native unmoved by the usual hype but also not easily stirred when
aspiring to be, as in spiritual quests.
Earth:
This lends solidity and reliability to a chart, keeps your feet on the
ground. A total lack of earth makes for a people who can be extreme
risk takers because they don't really know better. They go where
angels fear to tread, and those same angels bear them up lest they
dash their foot upon a stone -- on a really good day, that is.
Air:
This enables thought and communication, the intellectual side of things.
A lot of air makes for a rather cerebral type, whereas lack of air means
that explaining things may be meaningless. Results, not talk, gut-level
or emotional evaluation may take precedence over logic and careful,
explainable planning.
Water:
This is all about the ability to sense and communicate feelings, and lots
of water makes for emotional types. Lack of water tends to lead to
emotional cluelessness, a problem of not being about to pick up the
usual social cues and unconscious gestures, leading to embarrassment
or faux pas without intending or expecting it.

Cardinal:
Lots of this makes for a very assertive personality, someone who steps
into the breach even if, perhaps, there isn't one. It's great for situations
where independence is a virtue and occasional toe-stepping is not
taken too severely. None at all tends to make for a more retrenched
personality, or one who opts for multiple choice and nuances, not the
first solution that comes to hand.
Fixed:
Lots of this makes people, well, fixed. They take a stance and stand by
it, right or wrong. They make staunch friends, determined fools, but
sometimes repeat themselves too much and have a hard time
recognizing or accepting change. Lack of it makes for a dearth of
follow-through and dependability, inability to stay the course.
Mutable:
Lots of this makes for tremendous flexibility, the ability to take all sides
of an issue and skillfully switch horses in mid-stream. It's all about
nuance and how quickly the multiple elements of a situation change
their qualities. Lack of it tends to make for lack of diplomacy or even an
understanding of the need for it – sometimes lack of manners, simply
for being unable to understand what kind applies to the situation.

Angular:
Planets here are considered stronger, and lots of angularity makes for a
more immediate, forceful presence. None at all tends to create
wallflowers, or at least those who don't jump for the first dance.
Succedent:
Planets here are considered more durable but slower to manifest, and
lots of them make for greater long-term vision and action. Lack of it
leans toward haste or hesitation, people who are on the leading or
trailing edges of the action but not really at the heart of it.
Cadent:
Planets here are traditionally thought to be weaker, or at least less
active compared to other places, and they tend to manifest later rather
than sooner. It's great for fence-sitting and avoiding ill-fated
bandwagons by never actually getting on one or at least getting off fast.
A lack here makes for less flexibility and a certain inability to cover your
back.

Introduction
Grant Lewi (1902 - 1951) is a legendary figure among twentieth century astrologers. He was a
writer and editor for the two largest astrological magazines of the time. His two books, Heaven
Knows What and Astrology for the Millions , were the first astrological books to become best
sellers and even today, over fifty years later, they remain among the best introductions to the
subject of astrology.
The astrological interpretations found in Heaven Knows What and Astrology for the Millions
were unique, fresh, and simple. Llewellyn George, the prominent astrologer of the time, remarked
that Lewi's interpretations must be intuitive because they were unlike any that had been written
before him. Today these interpretations remain energetic and forceful and, though some references
are now dated, Lewi's text still provides some of the clearest insights found anywhere in the
literature of astrology.
Lewi was determined to make astrology more accessible to the average person, but while
popularizing the subject he never watered it down or reduced it to the level found in "sun sign"
astrology. Writing before computers were available, he made his books function as the computer,
providing the reader with tables to generate their own charts or horoscopes and then linking his
interpretations to the information found there. Lewi would have made good use of the computer, so
much in his books seem to anticipate them. In his writing he tried to emulate the interpretation
process by using a computerless version of artificial intelligence: the meaning of a planet in a sign
doesn't stand alone but is modified by the other aspects found in your chart. Many of his comments
depend on a combination of factors and for this reason you will sometimes find that he has
something different to say about an aspect in your chart than he does for the same aspect in your
friend's chart.
This report calculates your chart for you and then collects all of Lewi's comments strictly
according to the astrological factors found there. The text contained here is valid even for those
who don't know their time of birth - Lewi focused on those factors that are in effect throughout the
birthday. The only exception to this is the case of the Moon which can move between 12 and 14
degrees in a day, so if the positions were calculated for noon then the Moon could be as much as 6
or 7 degrees different and possibly even change signs. If you don't know your time and the texts
that involve the Moon seem unlikely, you may wish to compare reports done for the beginning and
the end of the day.
At all times, Lewi’s aim has been to show how astrology can be used as an aid in living a more
satisfying and fulfilling life. Astrology offers indications and pointers - and sometimes insights - to
situations that you find in life. It doesn’t tell you what to do about them, but if it offers you a better
understanding of the situation, then you are in a better position to decide for yourself what to do. To
quote Grant Lewi:
"It is not limitations that eats out the heart, but inaction, the knowledge of powers not used, the
sense of having failed to develop to the utmost. The overcoming of fate is not the overcoming of

limitations: that is impossible. It is the exercise of free will, the assertion of the full self, expanding
to its utmost with the tools at hand, in the circumstances that are set. Astrology, through the
interpretation of the horoscope, assists men to the achievement of their maximum by indicating to
them the lines along which their will may be most progressively applied, the goals to be sought,
and the individual means by which each one may arrive at the outermost boundaries of his world."
Horoscope of Birth
Your horoscope of birth is the blueprint of your personality and character as indicated by the
position of the Sun, the Moon and the eight planets on the date of your birth. This section is
devoted to each of these members of the solar system.
The planets are the antennae and arms of the horoscope, of which the body and soul are the Sun
and Moon. No planet will ever cause you to act counter to the testimony of the Sun and Moon in
their combined influence on you. Remember this when you proceed with the following readings.
All planetary vibration must be considered in light of the basic solar-lunar readings, for these are
your character, your basic nature, which the planets will help or hinder but cannot materially
change.
According to the sign position of your Sun, one planet will be more important than the others
and should probably be read first. Your Sun is in Aries and your dominant planet is Mars. Not only
the action of this ruling planet will be very important in your life, but also the attribute over which
it rules. Thus Gemini, ruled by Mercury, lives a great deal in the senses; Libra, ruled by Venus,
responds most readily to emotional stimuli; and so on. Study your ruler carefully.
Remember in all planetary readings that they work within the pattern of your solar-lunar nature;
never against it. The synthesis of your horoscope from the following series of paragraphs to a
working unit depends on your keeping this in mind, which will enable you to weld all the readings
into a unified and significant whole.
Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra
This is a curiously difficult position, presenting a problem between the emotional and mental
natures. You are ambitious, eager to get ahead and anxious to please people, with a sort of
personality that seems to reach out to others as if you are in need of support and guidance and
affection from someone or from many people. Despite a nature which in many ways is highly
individualized, you are strangely dependent on others - can be thrown off your balance by lack of
sympathy, or by coldness, or hardness, or lack of consideration in those around you. This is odd of
you because you are perfectly capable of ignoring the feelings, opinions, and wishes of others when
you get a set idea in your head. You go ahead in spite of man, God, and the devil, let the chips fall
where they may - and like as not they fall right back on you, to your great confusion.
You will undoubtedly be found in a professional or artistic, rather than in an executive career,
but you have a hard time concentrating and a tendency to daydream is your besetting evil. You can

give the appearance of concentration and of working to beat all get out, at the same time that your
mind is millions of miles away. You are likely to resort to all kinds of devices to accomplish
concentration - and when you get it, be unable to do anything anyway. You have to bear in mind, in
all things, that the solution to your problems is not to be found in other people or in your
surroundings, but in yourself. Until such a time as you cease to look to the outer world for support,
sympathy, and guidance and take yourself gently but firmly by the scruff of the neck and (to mix
metaphors) look yourself squarely in the face, you are likely to waste your energies woefully.
Whether you're merely a daydreamer, or think yourself inspired, or a medium, your surest
recipe for success is to plant your feet solidly on terra firma, look into your own nature with infinite
detachment, and determine how you and the world in which you find yourself may be brought
realistically and constructively into contact with each other. A sort of romantic belief in yourself,
unaccompanied by action, makes it likely that you will not develop to the highest point, while
romantic matters tending to go awry further confuse your mind by introducing a note of frustration.
You'll do best to avoid romance as much as possible. Get your love life settled early and then forget
it; learn to take these matters more for granted, less dramatically - for if you don't your life is likely
to be one continuous drama in which you, as the leading character, will not be able to find time for
anything of material consequence.
A certain facility for poetry accompanies this position but only in the presence of rigid
intellectual training can this be made constructive and progressive. Though your tendency is to the
arts, you will make greater progress along more material lines, such as business, in which you will
have to force yourself to think things out straight and true, and where perforce you will have to
swallow that inspirational lump that keeps rising in your throat. Stick to the facts, and the Great
Principles will take care of themselves.
Sun
The Sun indicates the appearance you will present before the world and the psychological bias
which will dominate your actions. What you seem, and why, are told in the reading for your Sun. In
many ways the Sun is the dominant force in your horoscope and in your life. Other influences,
especially that of the Moon, may modify the Sun's influence, but nothing will cause you to depart
very far from the basic solar pattern. For this reason a whole literature and a whole business have
grown up around Sun-sign astrology; and many people exist who think there is nothing more to the
horoscope than knowing what "sign you were born in" and what the Sun in that sign means. This is
a mistake, as you will discover when you have read the influence of the other bodies. But
throughout your reading, keep in mind always the basic influence of the Sun, and remember that all
other influences must be interpreted in terms of it, especially in so far as other influences play a
visible role in your life. You may think, dream, imagine, hope to be a thousand things, according to
your Moon and your other planets, but the Sun is what you are, and to be your best self in terms of
your Sun is to cause your energies to work along the path in which they will have maximum help
from planetary vibrations.

Aries' great independence is a symptom of vitality and physical energy and becomes
intellectualized later in life, if at all. The highest type of Arian becomes capable of idealizing and
universalizing his love of independence, which has its source in egocentricity. The first ambition of
the Arian is to be first. He is an inveterate contestant, a professional competitor. His object is not so
much the material stake as the glory of winning. He will never boast about coming in second; the
also-rans he beats impress him less than the one fellow who beats him and thus steals his rightful
place at the head of the procession.
Literally as well as figuratively this first-ness shows. Your Arian walks one step ahead of his
companions, goes through doors first, has the first word (and often the last) in any argument. He
loves arguments, not as a means of arriving at truth so much as a means of demonstrating that he
can come out in front. He often wins by sheer noise and vitality - that is, he makes the other fellow
cry uncle. Aries is frequently original in his efforts to be first, and, when not original, is sure to be
novel. Any Arian who doesn't understand the difference between originality and novelty should
study the two words till he does. When an Arian is original he is a pioneer, an inventor, a great
thinker. When he is only novel, he is putting first his ego ideal to be first and neglecting to make his
ideas sound and his methods practical. He thus loses the benefit of his energy, his genius and his
ambition. All the bugaboos of the ego beset the Arian, and he must beware of self-centeredness.
This can make him arrogant, conceited, self-pitying, self-assertive, and in the face of opposition or
restraint can lead to delusions of persecution in mild or acute form. To forget self, to become
absorbed in mental matters, to put ideas first, and to make sure that originality (or novelties) rest on
a sound basis of fact, to see the other fellow's point of view, and to regard the other fellow's needs,
wishes, desires just as seriously as his own are the means by which Aries may emphasize his great
good points, and insure that his desire to be first shall actually cause him to be first.
Following are the aspects to your Sun. In a general way, the trines and sextiles to your Sun
make ease, contentment, happiness, luck; while squares and oppositions give you energy, drive,
success, ambition. Conjunctions bring both energy and luck, and are translatable in terms of
whether the Sun receives squares or trines, along with the conjunction. Similarly, squares and trines
to the Sun together bring success through work and perseverance, and luck develops in proportion
to the work done and the effort extended.
Sun Conjunct Mercury Orb: 01°02'
You have a sound mentality. Along whatever lines you work you are fundamentally sane. Even
with the erratic aspect, Sun square Uranus and Sun square Neptune, which makes for nervousness,
you have a hitching post of normalcy. Men and women with this aspect have an assurance against
serious or permanent mental difficulties which will carry them through a whole lot of stress and
bring them out the right side. You have fixed opinions though you are not stubborn. You are
argumentative and contentious - and hard to deal with in an argument. You don't get the other
fellow's viewpoint too well, and you aren't interested in talking his language. You are studious and

sound in your intellectual work, but this position does not in itself make for creative ability. This
will make for perseverance - the ability to add the ninety-nine percent of perspiration to genius's
one percent of inspiration.
Sun Trine Mars Orb: 09°14'
You have abundant physical vitality and little hesitancy in using it. You are always on the
move. Your aims and purposes, being direct and clear and animated by a good physical equipment,
carry you to success. You are forceful, hard-hitting, aggressive, knowing where you stand and
where you are going. You wear out less energetic souls by the speed and continuous level of your
activities, for you are seemingly tireless and can stand shoulder to shoulder with the strongest when
it comes to matters of endurance. Since a good deal of the success of this world in material matters
depends on physical vitality, you have an edge on competitors. You are an excellent leader not so
much of thought as of action (unless Mercury is powerful) and frequently choose the army or navy
as your field of activity, where you speedily rise to authority; or business, where you won't long
stay in a subordinate position. You overwhelm people, and they naturally give way to you.
Sun Trine Jupiter Orb: 09°56'
The qualities of luck, energy, magnanimity, and good spirits here are pronounced. The creative
urge is also brought out. You have lots of vitality and optimism, together with a broad, tolerant,
philosophic viewpoint - a sort of hail-fellow-well-met person making friends readily and generally
keeping them. This is an excellent position for business. In a professional or artistic career this
insures financial return. No poet with this aspect ever starved in a garret, or anywhere else, for that
matter. You spend freely and convivially, and your abundant vitality makes it possible for you to
keep going for a long time.
Sun Square Uranus Orb: 05°18'
You've sown your wild oats - and how! Your intellectual development was a good deal in
advance of your emotional development, and as a result you had ideas, notions, theories, of
independence and of human relations which you put into practice, considerably to the despair of
your elders. You're a liberal in every way, with advanced social, political, and personal ideas.
Individualism is very important to you, and your own ego comes first. As you grow older this
outlook broadens from the purely personal to the more general; you turn from egocentric to
humanitarian, interested in large ideas, large groups of people, social problems in the large. With
your Sun trine Jupiter, your mental outlook is very inclusive, developing out of a strictly selfish rut
into a genuine feeling for humanity. This is one of the aspects of idealism but on its way to that
state it goes through many ramifications. You have been dejected and depressed and discouraged;
probably you've had your share of unconventional and erratic love affairs. You always tend to be
something of a romantic; no matter how much you control, or how much you learn to translate the

inspirationalism. Translate your adventuresomeness to intellectual, rather than geographical or
personal variety, and the world is at your feet.

Emotionalism will dominate you because of your Sun square Neptune. You are a sensationalist
and need to depersonalize yourself consciously.
In any case, you have a periodically explosive temper and must learn the lessons of cooperation
both with the world in general and with individuals. You tend to think that you are right and all the
rest of the world is crazy, which may be true but doesn't make much of a hit with the world.
Sun Square Neptune Orb: 00°30'
This is a treacherous aspect, subtly weakening the will power and making you susceptible to
influences that arise not always from worthy sources. You are a sensationalist and will go out of
your way for the bizarre, the unusual, or the mysterious in experience. You have to look out for this
tendency, which leads you to seek strange and unreliable associates. A certain nebulous and
impractical idealism attaches to your emotional and thought processes. You are likely to think in
beautiful and vague circles and to give yourself up to dreams and emotions of a hypnotic and
dangerous quality. Reason should be your constant aim, and you should avoid thinking or acting
along inspirational, intuitive, or sensational lines.
Moon
While the Sun's position by sign determines what motives and urges dominate your life as it
meets the naked eye, the sign position of the Moon tells the desire of your heart which may or may
not be expressed or realized in your life. When you "know what you mean but you can't say it," it is
your Moon that knows it and your Sun that can't say it. "Thoughts that do often lie too deep for
tears" are the thoughts of your Moon's nature. The wordless ecstasy, the mute sorrow, the secret
dream, the esoteric picture of yourself that you can't get across to the world, or which the world
doesn't comprehend or value - these are the products of the Moon in your horoscope. When you are
misunderstood, it is your Moon nature, expressed imperfectly through the Sun sign, that you feel is
betrayed. When you know what you ought to do, but can't find the right way to do it, it is your
Moon that knows and your Sun that refuses to react in harmony. Also, when you "don't know why I
said that," it was your Moon expressing despite your Sun (if you are innerly satisfied with the
involuntary speech), or the Sun expressing against the will of the Moon (if you are displeased with
what has slipped out). Things you know without thought - intuitions, hunches, instincts - are the
products of the Moon. Modes of expression that you feel are truly your deepest self belong to the
Moon: art, letters, creative work of any kind; sometimes love; sometimes business. Whatever you
feel is most deeply yourself, whether or not you are able to do anything about it in the outer world,
is the product of your Moon and of the sign your Moon occupies at birth.
Moon in Libra
This is a Cinderella position, for no matter what humble hearth you may slave over, the vision
of yourself as you see it is one of elegance, grace and refinement. So strong is this vision, so eager
are you to make it a reality, and so genuine is the aristocracy of your spirit that more likely than not
the fairy godmother (who is no more than the angel of your own graces) actually appears to carry
you to the heights you dream of. You are one of nature's gentlefolk, and the privileged picture of
yourself that you carry in your heart finds its expression in courtesy, graciousness and kindness to

everyone. You should never forget your best dream of yourself, or allow the true kindliness and

sound, especially in the realm of human relations, and since your special genius lies in this realm,
you should follow your instincts unfalteringly. This position gives a peculiar elusive sweetness to
the nature, a curious charm to the speech and manner, and allows the best of the inner self to shine

Moon Opposite Sun Orb: 00°44'
The square aspect between the Sun and Moon energizes the mentality giving drive, force, and
quickness to the mind, and tends to objectify the desires (unless Sun is in Aries and Moon in Libra,
Sun in Pisces and Moon in Virgo). It adds quickness and perceptive power to whatever other
intellectual gifts are indicated, and warns of letting the mind run ahead of the body and exhaust it.
Frequently this indicates some difficulty between the parents around the time of your birth—
personal or financial tension in the family or in the family environment. An environmental or
hereditary bias is set up giving one of those psychological quirks which makes for success. Rapid
mental development follows, and success through ability to objectify and depersonalize your life by
mental processes.
Moon Opposite Mercury Orb: 01°46'
You are talkative, expressive, witty. You may not have a trained mind, but this doesn't keep you
from occupying yourself with mental pursuits, either as a hobby or as a mode of gaining a
livelihood. What you lack in persistence you make up in glibness and facility. Only in
extraordinary instances will this accompany the artistically creative ability of the poet or dramatist;
but it will lead you into some writing or speaking occupation - secretarial, advertising, public
speaking such as radio, salesmanship, etc. - anything where wit, cleverness, and knowing all the
answers is an asset. You have a tendency to talk too much. This may amount to a mania for telling
everything you know, even those things that you ought to keep to yourself. You have to cultivate
reserve in speech; for keeping things to yourself will help them to develop. You waste your mental
powers by expressing everything. You are not logical and have to make a conscious and serious
effort to keep to the main track of the discussion. Mental training is what you need - strict
schooling, which likely as not you ran away from when you were very young. You are likely to
skim over the surface of things mental and get by on your wits rather than by intense application.

Moon Sextile Mars Orb: 08°30'
You have a vigorous mind - sharp, quick, satiric - and a clipped manner of speech. You have an
aggressive spirit which may or may not be manifest in your actions, but which causes your plans to
soar and your ideas to expand. You have good control over your passions, which are strong; and
use your anger to good purpose. You are a dangerous enemy because your fires are leashed and
directed to go to the mark. In a man's horoscope this gives an aggressive wife, possibly a shrew,
who none the less is good for him, stimulating him to action at the same time that she makes him
mad.
Moon Sextile Jupiter Orb: 09°11'
You are idealistic, humanitarian, and expansive in your outlook, animated by genuine charity,
and probably in a position to make it practical. You are cheerful, optimistic, good-humored, and
tactful. Courtesy is innate in you - one of nature's gentlefolk. You have excellent family
connections especially on your mother's side, and probably some financial help from them in gifts
or legacies. Necessity has never taught you to be careful of money, which you more or less take for
granted. If put to it, your earning powers are good, for friends put you in the way of earning.
Character is your strong point: you have a keen sense of right and wrong. Your ideas run along
conventional lines; you belong to the conservative, right-wing, pillar-of-society group, believing in
noblesse oblige rather than in socialism. You are devotional and probably religious in an orthodox
sense, but the pillar of your religion is the god in you - that is, character - rather than metaphysics
and dogma.
Moon Square Uranus Orb: 06°02'
You have had a high temper in your day, and if you've controlled it the credit goes to your good
sense. You are rebellious, headstrong, abrupt in speech, quick on the draw - a sort of hair-trigger
personality, full of fire and dash that need the control of a vigorous intellect. A sort of perpetual
confusion hangs over you, and you have a hard time getting the straight of your own nature. This is
one of the marks of the advanced thinker, the Bohemian who is a law unto himself and must make a

This impairs the creative gifts, and your manner of thought and expression, intruding an
unrealistic note into your notions and confusing practical issue with hazy and misty generalizations.
In business, thought, romance, you have to keep your feet on the ground, for you love the clouds.
You are capable of daydreaming by the hour and of concocting brave plans that would be

marvelous - if you or anyone else could make them happen. This adds a sort of naive charm to your
nature. You can believe in fairies, Santa Claus and ghosts, just as others can believe in Herbert
Hoover, and your perpetual love for the mystic will intrigue those who love the innocent, the
childish, the unspoiled. But all this doesn't help you much in the world of affairs, and an impractical
approach to many things will stand in the way of your progress until such a time as you get your
feet on the ground and hitch your wagon to a fence post.
Mercury
Mercury is the sense-impression antennae of your horoscope. His position by sign indicates
your reactions to sights, sounds, odors, tastes and touch impressions, affording a key to the attitude
you have toward the physical world around you. Mercury is the messenger through which your
physical body and brain (the Sun) and your inner nature (the Moon) are kept in contact with the
outer world, which will appear to you according to the index of Mercury's position by sign in the
horoscope.
Mercury in Aries
Your reaction to sense impressions is keen and alert. You detect smells, sounds, sights and
tastes acutely and are very much alive to what you do or don't like in the world of sense
impressions. Your sense of touch is not as alert as the others, though you are capable of training

aspects that he considered to be the most significant and only those are shown in this report. The
dates shown only represent the times when the aspect is exact; its influence is felt for weeks,
months, and sometimes even years around this time. A planet will often make the same aspect
several times in one year before it leaves that area of the zodiac and moves on. This is due to the
planet appearing to go backward or retrograde for a period of time and crossing and recrossing the
