My first name = 16/7
My middle name = 16/7
My last name = 22/4

So the total is 54/9 or 18/9.

So I thought maybe the reason #9 doesn't resonate with me is because I rarely ever use my middle name unless I have to supply it for authorities. So then my first and last name add up to 38/11 (or maybe it gets reduced to 2)

But this 38/11 doesn't describe me either. I don't know what number to go with. I've worked everything out correctly dozens of times. I really want to get to the bottom of this and know what my name number is so I can work on my flaws and be aware of my weaknesses. I'm just confused right now.

So basically, the reason you feel that you are not 9-like is probably because your other numbers don't get along so well with the 9 or don't resonate the same attributes as the 9. It's like in astrology where some planets are sometimes weaker than others or repressed because of other planets. Try and calculate your other numbers and see what you think. Then, if those don't match up also, I'd guess that outside influences have shaped you differently than you were born. The numbers (except cycles) are all to describe who you are in your most primal state for lack of a better term. Perhaps the 9 resonates more effectively with you as a child than it does with you in the present day? As with all esoteric arts, free will and outside influences do play a big role in determining who you are.

But with Chaldean numerology it is the most used name that matters the most. That is if you have a nickname that is used more often than your given names...its vibes would affect you the most.

so for you the vibe that matters the most i'm guessing is your first name. don't bother too much with the middle name...but when handing in legal documents, do prepare for any challenging situations.

what are the numbers of your birthday, as they should match your name usually.

7 and 9's are not good for each other at all, that a person with a lot of 9's should do there best to avoid any name that would add up to a 7, and vice versa.

Hello, Thank you for the reply. It has cleared up a lot.

My birthday is 12th April 1989 = 16/7

So my life path is number 7, too. I thought Chaldean numerology doesn't give much importance to the whole birth day, only the day of the month, so I'm not sure if the life path is important for me yet. My day number is 12/3. Also my soul urge (vowels) is number 6 and personality (consonants) number 3.

I'm grateful for the reply. I think you could be right about my other numbers not getting along well with 9. I read the number 9 is supposed to be a humanitarian number or something. I'm not really that type of person. Sometimes I can't see why I should include the middle name when I rarely use it. I'm just not sure what method to use - the whole names or just the most used names. I was reading an article by Chaldean Numerologist Joanne Justis and she said this:

"This is a financial structure only so it carries no weight in selecting the name but will indeed alter the correct vibrational pattern if calculated. The same thing holds true for a personal name. Many people leave out the middle name or add Jr., Sr. which then provides the wrong result. Not following the rules will provide inaccurate information."

Jungle....this explains your troubles with the 9...usually 7 numbers aren't good at all with 9's, and both cause problems for each other.

your day is a 7EDIT (your day is actually a 3, thought i typed something wrong so came back...sorry : )!!!),
your whole number is a 7, and that is the one that matters more.

16 isn't good for others, but works really well for those that are already born on a 7 day or are a 7 birth year+day+month as you are, as already know what to do to protect yourself from that 'downfall' the tower card in the tarot speaks about.
just persist on being called by your first name and all should go well for you...and yes see if there is a way that even with your middle name, the name won't add up to any 9 numbers.
(btw on the bright side, 3 and 6 don't get along, and the only way they would if there was a 9 in the mix to finish that magic triangle thing...so for some reason, i think leave everything as it is, as things are balancing each other out for you!)
