Sugar, sugar ha ha. I am a pastry chef and I just OOZE with sugar.

10 of swords, 8 of swords, knight of swords and this popped out queen of swords.

10 of swords, Something doesn't feel right about this relationship and you need to seriously re evaluate it. May I get a little personal and ask if he treats you not very nicely? You don't have to answer me Taurus but really ask yourself if you are always apologizing for HIS actions towards you?

Sadly the 8 of swords is not a good omen, again something is not right about this relationship. Knight of swords shows that you head over heals with him but it just might not be a good thing.

The queen of swords popped out and I always pay attention. It could be your mother or mother like figure (dark haired/eyed) who is trying to warn you to get out of the relationship. Be kind to her and know that she has your best interest at heart. She is seeing things that you are blinded to. So sorry for this reading as it's not what you want to hear.

Hmmm...that's really odd. No, he doesn't treat me poorly at all. Things are really too new for anything like that to show up, but I'm not one to take being treated poorly AT ALL anyway - I just have zero tolerance for it. I came to a point several years ago where I began to refuse apologizing (to myself or anyone else) for any other person's poor exhibition of character. If they show such qualities, they're pretty quickly and inexorably cut from my life - I just can't bear the negative energy. I can't say that I'm "head over heels" for him, but I do quite care for him...at least so far.

I'm pretty perplexed by this reading, as I honestly don't know how it could apply at all...? Could this instead be a reading about my father maybe??? My father and I have always had a very tenuous relationship, and most recently, some really, REALLY serious issues - just in the past few days - which have pushed me to the point where I think I may have to cut _him_ out of my life...

I'm not trying to openly dispute you, certainly; it's just that the parallels to my current situation with my father (but for the Knight) are absolutely UNCANNY - and too remarkably timely for me not to consider - where I get absolutely no connection at all to the gentleman I asked about. I know that, with me when I read, other energies can push through if a message needs to be forced strongly enough.

I felt so bad for you when I did this reading. It is possible that this is the energy that I'm feeling for you? I did another reading and stressed S not your dad. Strange but almost the same cards came up. I shuffled very well 3 times and concentrated hard. 8 of swords, 10 of swords, and 4 of pentacles. 4 of pentacles shows fear in a relationship. Could that be your dad? I pray, pray, pray that I am wrong and please get back to me on this when things with S have progressed a little.

Well, yes it could very well reflect what I'm feeling right now. The potential for a relationship with S is something quite different than I've ever had or experienced, and I am quite scared and not a little guarded (though not in any physical or emotional way of what he may be able to "do" to me - I do know him well enough to know that's just not in his character) because I want this to be something healthy. Smart. Real. I've had a string of relationships throughout my life which reflect poor (but blindly hopeful) choices. This one is remarkably different in every way. Just new. Rationally, I know I've "done the work" as it were to bring something substantial to the table, so I also know that's largely what I'm now attracting in men (not just him - men in general). But there's still that little girl part of me that fears - it's what I was battling these last two weeks to some degree.

Add to it the conflict I've been having with my father (a culmination of events all the way from my childhood that are coming to a head), I can definitely see it being my own reticence. Let me know when you're able to talk more. I'll post the text message I sent to S, then delete it. I think it will reflect exactly what you're saying here.
