I got yes for all I have a question though. So I put my pendulum by the windowsill this morning for it to get re-energized and I came back and found it glowing. I made the pendulum myself with a glow-in-the-dark keychain (with a little scorpion inside the stone) and a chain from one of my huge necklaces. It normally doesn't glow as bright. Plus, it wasn't that dark when I took it out. IP: Logged |

Thank you for those answers, you made my day . I know this is off topic but I have a question if you don't mind. I have read your thread wondering about your psychic abilities. I'm intrigued because I have the same question. I saw CrimsonRed suggested to you to go slow and don't experiment much due to risk of open unknown energy portal. Since you use this pendulum reading, I assume this isn't dangerous like that. I'd also like to try this, can you introduce me to this too? That being said, I really appreciate what you do with this thread, I want to help too but I don't know tarot. ------------------

I'm not really sure if it's dangerous or not. But the one thing I did that Crimson suggested before trying out anything else, was to recite my psalms--the ones I feel connected to. I also recited psalms for protection and asked for the guidance of my guardian angel from God. I also cleansed my pendulum with salts and some cold water. Personally, I don't think it's dangerous unless you use it to try and communicate with spirits or something like that. I only use it for divination.

Well, it really depends on what you believe in--like what religion you practice. The psalms are like a Christian thing. If you're not connected to any kind of spirituality, I'm not really sure what you should do. IP: Logged |

yay Thank you! I'm not sure what you're question is? You don't need to put your pendulum in sun to reenergise it though. The pendulum works with your vibration/energy & your guides. What you do need to do it clear it periodically (i usually do it before 'session'). I simply tap it on a hard surface and say clear (the intent clears it). I know others will put it in salt to clear it & I did this when I first started, but found it too time consuming and not convenient for 'on the go' readings. The next thing I do is set my intent/say prayer again...I usually ask that my pendulum reading be of 100% divine love & divine light and 100% truth. That my lower self just observe my reading (avoid ego getting involved) and that my higher self, angels, and guides of 100% divine love & light assist me. I then check my 'yes'/'no' (sometimes if you're not grounded, they will be reversed or wonky). Then, I ask my questions. You can make your pendulum yourself, I have purchased a few with crystals that are really pretty, but in the end I use my neckless & pendant which I always wear. The next thing to keep in mind is how you hold the pendulum. I use to hold it at the very top between my forefinger & thumb, but last year learned that it should actually be held with about 1-2inches of overhang over the top of your forefinger (almost as if you're going to wrap it around the top of your finger) and you thumb just lightly holding it in place. Try these tips out and see if it changes your readings at all. Finally, wording is VERY important. You will literally get answers for EXACTLY what you ask, not what you meant. IP: Logged |

I do feel like the sun is a greater source of energy for my pendulum though. I think it's because the Sun also energizes me, the owner. And by the way, my pendulum chain is really long. I roll it up around my hand and then hold it as if it were a shorter version. Do you think I should shorten it? I do say my psalms before readings and ask guidance/protection from my own guardian angel that God has sent me. Then I ask my pendulum to show me swings for a yes and a no.

Ah I see...yes the sun does excite particles in your pendulum (increases it's energy) & since your pendulum is made of glow in the dark, then yes, this would make it glow more. Ok, if putting it in the sun resonates with you then continue doing so. Personally I think how & what you do (the ritual you choose) is up to you, you want to feel comfortable. That's great that you already say your psalms & ask for higher help & protection!Don't wrap it around your entire hand, you want it "free flowing", not restricted. Personally I like the feel of 9-10" pendulum, I find it easier to work with. If yours is much longer, maybe try a shorter one. Also, is it metal based? Metal is a better conductor of energy.
