I'm sorry, but to me this is not looking good. What I'm seeing is that this is a man whose heart has grown cold lately due to something in his past. He's not really able to love at this point in time, he needs to be alone and figure himself and his world out. If he's pursuing you, it may be for very superficial reasons.
He might be a good man overall, but right now he's not in a good place to be a good partner to you at all.
