Here are my Natal, Progressed, and Transit charts.

Send me yours and let's point out things together. Or just do mine if you want. I'm currently interested in Karmic astrology and career stuff.

Let's give this a try.

You are probably naturally very relationship-oriented, as shown by the Sun in the 7H, ruler of DSC Pluto conjunct the DSC itself, and ruler of SN Mercury (our most natural behavior) conjunct ruler of DSC and DSC.

There's a marked tendency toward perfectionism - Virgo SN and Mercury in the 6H, along with Pluto, both in Scorpio, which adds intensity to that urge, and makes it a deep matter that may not even be obvious to you (it could lie dormant, and be a subconscious urge that makes you self-sabotage, for example).

There seems to be a mother wound, or at least some wounding in childhood and/or in relation to your parenting. The Moon is closely conjunct Saturn and Uranus, both square Mars, and that in Water houses. Add to that the Cancer Chiron. The Moon and Saturn are IC/MC rulers, technically representing your mother and father, 'joined' together, but in a stressed manner. Perhaps there was a hostile or cold environment at home growing up, perhaps your emotional needs weren't met and you were expected to act in a certain way that stifled your true feelings and creative energy. That in turn, made you a "tough cookie" - someone who controls, or tries to control, their own emotions, feelings and reactions. It can also point to workaholic traits and the need to fill the emotional void within with worldly things like a career, a social status, a lot of money or possessions, etc.

With such an afflicted Mars, I'd say the will was thwarted - chances are, you couldn't express yourself or your true feelings and became used to "shutting down," to the point where it's become an unconscious or semi-conscious reflex. The square to Saturn amplifies the frustration of the energy - wanting to act, but feeling thwarted for some reason (self-defeatist attitudes or external obstacles that seem to pop up out of nowhere). Uranus adds a strongly independent streak and possibly the need for unrestrained physical release - you may find yourself very tense at times and need a lot of physical activity to relax and be comfortable. A fulfilling sexual life is probably very important for your emotional and physical well-being (Moon in the 8H square Mars).

Neptune adds some flavor to it as well, but from afar. Interestingly, it's your NN ruler, and sits in the 9H - highlighting the themes of Jupiter - travel, expansion, mental and physical exploration, knowledge, studies, foreign cultures, and teaching. The Pisces NN itself sits in the 11H of groups and social movements, as well as long-term goals and wishes. The opposition to the 5H suggests that for your soul development, you will naturally be attracted to groups and organizations, or a big circle of friends or like-minded people, most probably sharing the same beliefs and philosophies as you that tend to be spiritual and universal (Pisces).
Your sense of ego will go through periods of testing where you will be faced with selfish vs. altruistic motives, and will have to choose based on that. Self-gratification vs. service to "the masses" (5H/11H) and "me vs. others." Also, a romantic approach vs. a more objective, impersonal approach.

The natural tendency might be to look for attention, romance and self-expression, but the search for those things can become draining and feel too stagnant. As you move toward more global concerns and pay attention to the community/ies you live in or are involved with, your focus will naturally shift toward the improvement of society and the various ways in which you can serve others (that might be hard to take for your ego which longs for recognition and self-oriented activities).

The work environment will probably have to be peaceful or at least attractive to you in some way for you to be fully yourself and satisfied. You may have a strong urge to work, or on the contrary be completely averse to it. People in your daily interactions are bound to found you very charming and balanced. Naturally, things could be different in more intimate situations (such as family life or personal life). But you probably won't have much problem with winning people over at work and in daily interactions (Taurus ASC + Venus in 6H in Libra).
Make sure not to be taken advantage of, or take advantage of others (Neptune square).

In terms of transits, currently you might be experiencing some action in the field of relationships and commitment.
tNN on natal Venus can point to a possible love affair, or some new job opportunity that you may very well commit to - tSaturn in the 7H, conjunct progressed Venus and natal Sun.

There might be some instability coming up in the next few months with tUranus opposing natal Venus. Again, it could apply to relationships but also to the work environment; so be prepared for some tribulations.

The progressions show a lot of planets in the sign of Sagittarius, falling in your 7H/8H. That might point to a strong urge for travelling or trying out new things; it can also point to finding a partner or making new connections (friendships, acquaintances) with people who are not from the same place as you.

Making meaningful connections with others can help you see yourself more clearly and strengthen your sense of identity, as well as refine your egoistical urges (progressed Sun on the DSC; natal Sun/DSC conjunct).
Chances are you'll take your assertion vs. compromise issues into relationships and will have to regulate your inner frustrations and sabotaging behaviors in order to get along well with those close to you without overstepping boundaries.

Let me know if some of that rings true.

Helios! That was amazing! You are very talented! Here's how you did -

1. I am most definitely relationship oriented. There is no moment that I do not have a crush or not dating.

2. I have read on my SN and found the perfectionist description odd. If it is there it is certainly dormant or I am blind to it.

3. Big hit right here. I was raised by my grandparents which filled the void. Mother was unfit to raise me and father disappeared before birth. Became a tough cookie by thinking as a child that being raised by my grandparents that they would die while I was young so I toughened up. Good job on this one. You just made me a believer in Chiron. I believe my emotional control also comes the exact conjunction on my Moon from Saturn?

4. I am constantly fighting my Mars. As I get older I get better. There's definitely dampening energy that is almost constant. It's a weird feeling. I have no ego issues but sometimes the engine refuses to go. But as I said, I continually improve. I did notice my progressive Mars, though still in Aries, is moving away from the square. Ding ding on the Uranus. I am known for exercising. If I maintain an active and continuous exercise schedule everything falls into place for me. If I do not exercise I can also develop ADDlike tendencies. And yes, I do get sad when my sex life is downhill.

5. I've recently found Neptune to be interesting. I've always wondered how Neptune in the 9H would play out and many months ago, when my progressed chart went into a very Sagittarius kick, I decided to join the Coast Guard. Suddenly I wanted to be near the water, and I wanted to travel. I also went on a traveling spree before enlistment.

6. Enlisting was a big change for me. Before deciding to enlist I was much more concerned in money. As I shifted my career goals I also shifted my broader scale goals. My life goals have also shifted into a broader, societal scheme. This wasn't easy for me especially because of the monetary limitations.

7. The read on my Taurus ASC with Venus in the 6H is correct. I am a charmer in work environments and usually the most liked not because I'm a suck up or try to charm but because I genuinely enjoy being at work and interacting with people. My enjoyment usually allows everyone else to have a good time as well. I also have many romantic encounters with coworkers. It just constantly happens.

8. I have taken note of my tNN on my nVenus and nVertex. Currently wondering how it'll play out. I have been getting dates lately but I'm kind of expecting something more serious from this transit. I am also currently applying to jobs while I wait for the Coast Guard to process me so I can enlist. I just returned home from traveling.

9. Ruh roh on the Uranus transit.

10. I've met a lot of people in my traveling spree. I made a lot of close friends in Maine, and even from Europe that I expect to keep in touch with forever.

11. I feel like my sense of identity has never been stronger. But hey, who knows what the future brings.

Your read was spot on and amazing. How long have you been at this? You know, as you can imagine, my astrological work is usually devoted to synastry and composite stuff so you just spotted things in my natal chart that I haven't considered!

Your read on the North Node reminds me of the read a friend of mine did with her I ching stuff. I don't know if you're familiar with it, as I am not. but we proposed the same question the NN is meant to answer and she got Hexagram 26 with changing lines 3 and 4. It completely reflects the 11th house purpose and ego issues you described.

Hi again, Koho.
Thank you for elaborating, I appreciate it.

Re: perfectionism. What I meant by that isn't necessarily a pathological need or desire for things to be "perfect," per se, but rather the impulse to improve things that seem flawed or incomplete. The urge to make things more functioning, more useful, more "whole." The Virgo energy (associated with the 6H) is often expressed in a strong urge for self-improvement, and by extension improvement of the environment and even other people. Combined with Scorpio energy, the quest for "perfectioning" may become quite compulsive and be rooted in deeply emotional factors - perhaps there's a need to "prove" oneself to oneself and others, due to past conditioning which made one feel inferior or worthless in some way, or deeply flawed (usually people with strong Virgo in their charts had pretty critical parents or care-takers and grew up feeling "less than," even if on a subconscious level).

The emotional control is definitely a Moon/Saturn + Moon in Capricorn thing. No doubt about it. eta. Actually it's also a Moon in the 8H thing.

Being raised by grandparents is generally associated with a Hades Moon and you happen to have your Moon in the 8H, which makes it a Hades Moon (i.e Plutonic). Very fitting. You also mentioned the theme of death and loss - the fear of your grandparents passing away and you being left alone by yourself; and the survival instinct that goes with that. Impressive.

Do look deeper into Chiron.
I'll find a few links for you and post them here, I think you could find them valuable.

Keep exercising, it's good for you. Haha.

The fact that your life goals have shifted into a broader scheme is definitely good news if we look at your NN. That's exactly where you "should" be heading.

Re: Transiting NN and natal Vertex/Venus. I had that transit a few months ago, since I just so happen to have my Venus and Vertex both in Libra like yourself, but in later degrees. Nothing significant happened, but my life is generally quite uneventful so it's not surprising. I did make a few new friends, people who I think could be beneficial to me in some way (they seem to be, already) but it didn't really bring a romantic partner or anything of the sort.
However I am pretty sure it could be different for you, given your current life situation and overall inclination towards partnerships.
-

Thank you for your compliment. I feel like my analysis was extremely brief and superficial - there are so many more things to explore in a natal chart.
I've been studying astrology for... 6 or even 7 years, from my teenage years. I've never really studied it formally, but I would like to deepen my knowledge. I've been stuck for a while now, and feel like I'm stagnating. There's always more to learn.

Let me know if you would like me to look deeper into your chart, and perhaps try to answer some questions you may have about some events in your life or your own personal behaviors. Our Mercuries happen to be closely conjunct in Scorpio, and transiting Mercury just entered Scorpio - it seems like there's a theme, here. =) (Note: tMercury will go retrograde on October 5 and will head back into Libra again.)

I also enjoy looking at synastry and composite charts. I think they're as fascinating as natal charts, if not more. Being able to see the dynamics between two people is such a... captivating, process. I am always amazed by the accuracy of astrology, even after all these years.

Re: I ching. I have heard about it, but I can't seem to apply it to my own experience and life path. It's a tad too cryptic for me, I feel like it doesn't really have a practical footing and I'm unsure about its usefulness. But that link you posted does seem to correlate with the 11 NN theme, indeed. Interesting.

(This post seems to be sort of long. Sorry about that.)

I have periods of withdrawal from my social life for self improvement. If I don't feel my skills are coming along adequately I absolutely refuse to participate in social life. It's a strong need to improve myself and I also often seek to prove myself. No critical parents though, at least not excessively notable. But then again, my relationship was with my grandparents and not parents if that makes a difference.

I read a bit more into the Hades moon and will continue to do so. I read that a Hades moon, particularly in Capricorn marks a difficult child birth. Check! Abortion was advocated for many reasons and after birth I required surgery. Looks like my moon is at play a lot so I should devote more time to it and Chiron.

Oh and don't worry, I'll always be exercising :P Absolutely need it. Especially with the Taurus ASC and Jupiter in the 1st house which I read creates an expanding waistline :P Once when I had my knee injury I ballooned.

About the NN ever since I made my shifts I've felt like I'm moving in the right direction which is why my astrology work is started to get focused on the career bits.

I've been studying astrology for a short while now. Maybe a year max with consistency. I just bought an old book of Robert Pelletier's about the houses. Also decided to join this forum and a NYC meet up group. So much to learn that websites alone can't provide.

Mercury conjunct Mercury! And with a coming transit. A learning opportunity? I've never focused so much on my Scorpio in Mercury placement though it's just as important as any other. I definitely have to make time for it. How do you think it has benefited you?

Yea, the i ching isn't my go to system either but it is hers and she swears it has never steered her wrong.

So like I said I'm going to explore my career stuff in the charts. Ami, one of the mods, described my Jupiter trine the MC. I was happy to find out how beneficial it was Though the orb is at 6

Yes, that makes sense.

There's a book on Hades Moons. I am pretty sure I once read it, it was interesting, but I've known a few people who couldn't really relate to the things said in it. You could still give it a try though. Here's a preview in case you're interested.

Haha, yes, Taurus ascending and Jupiter in the 1st do seem to be quite dangerous for the waistline (and not just the waistline, but the entire body!) so you'd better keep yourself active, indeed.

You seem to be rather dedicated to learning more about astrology, that's very nice.

Yes, I'd say it can be a learning opportunity, especially with tJupiter squaring your ASC/DSC axis. You will probably meet some people who will teach you or show you some things you didn't know before.

How has Mercury in Scorpio benefited me... hmmm. I am not sure I can say that's a "benefit," but I tend to enjoy analyzing human behavior and usually try to see past the obvious. I've always been drawn to psychology and all things related to the human mind and how people work. The downside is that I sometimes see things that aren't there - expecting something "buried" deep down, when in fact, there's only shallowness. I can also have pretty repetitive thoughts and mental blockages; and my thoughts can easily turn into feelings and vice versa. There's a certain depth to the mind though, something that's not necessarily common with other Mercuries.

What you can do to learn more about your career and the possible fields that would benefit you, is look at the ruler of the 10H - Saturn. Here you have Saturn conjunct Uranus, ruler of the 11H, and conjunct the Moon, ruler of the 4H. Saturn is in the 8H.
If you try to synthesize all this, you can come up with something like this: your career will probably have a deep emotional effect on you and be instrumental to your emotional well-being; it might have a global reach or have to do with large groups of people who come together around a certain goal; it may be prone to changes or frequent movement; and it may require psychological and emotional strength of some sort, as well as the willingness to face things that may seem controversial or taboo. At any rate, it'll have to be a meaningful occupation, something that feels significant to you personally.

The ruler of the 6H (work environment) is Mercury, and sits in Scorpio conjuncting Pluto and the DSC - again emphasizing the emotional impact and psychological "bravery." You may find yourself dealing with people quite a lot in your work environment, you probably aren't going to be left alone that much (conjunction to the DSC), although you're bound to be focused on your work first and relationships second.

Oh and yes, Venus in the 6H is usually prone to romances in the workplace, like you mentioned before.
-

So here are the links to Chiron.
Moon-Chiron
And another one
Moon/Chiron in synastry (just in case)
Chiron-Mars (you have the square, may or may not resonate)

That site is a goldmine. You can find many interesting things on there.

It all sounds exactly for what I'm going for ! I'm gonna look into your analysis and learn it well myself.

Yes, I am very dedicated. It's definitely one of the subjects I obsessively read about.

I have to admit after seeing how good you are at this my motivation is even higher! This forum has gained a lot from having you join up so I can't wait to see your post in other topics.

You turned me on to the rulerships as well. I use to neglect them in my analysis but I see they work so well for you.

---

I had to ask about the Mercury in Scorpio cause that's one of the bits in my chart I don't really 'feel' too often. The one occasion I see my difference in thought process is when I'm exchanging with my more 'earthy' (usually Virgo) friends. Often in the discussion if we're analyzing something I have to lead them beyond the surface of it or draw the big picture for them.

So I'll be reading these links you've given me. Thank you!
