question was: will we reconnect (with clearer romantic intent, him initiating) within a month (before my trip)?

Saturn in the 1st house.

Me:
Venus represents the ruler of the first house Libra, which represent me the querent. She is dignified in her own sign, and supposedly very much comfortable and in tune with her own skin but note she's also combust due to her proximity to the Sun. She is in her 12th house.
Moon represents the querent's feelings and it's comfortable in 9th house Cancer also. This makes sense since the 9th house represents long distance journeys and the querent is feeling positive of her upcoming holiday. (But it squares to venus lol)

Him:
Mars represents the ruler for the seventh house Aries, which represents him the love interest. He is going into querent's 3rd house (communication) and his own 9th house (radical chart, journeys etc).
The Sun usually represents his urge, which is going into the 1st house which usually denotes his ardent urge towards the querent. However it's also the Sun's fall.

Saturn in the 1st house – can indicate the question will come to nothing, delays or obstacles. The querent judgement is unsound.

Analysis.

At a first glance seems favourable (Venus is applying Mars by sextile) , however venus (me) is combust lol, and she is in Mars' detriment, so I guess what happens is either there will be somesort of contact with such intent but somehow the outcome wouldn't be favourable, OR there won't be any contact at all due to the combust and fall.

Venus in 12th house denote of loss also, maybe it represents her broken heart, and unable to perform or her wish is detrimental to her (Via Combusta)

Moon which represents querent's feelings is in Mars' 3rd house (communication, so he does want to contact) but also in Mars' fall ( he rejects Moon's feelings). So, no.

Sun, which represents his urge I guess, is going into the first house- so I guess the intent is there and strong. However the first house sign is also his fall, So.. he's taking himself out of the situation (regarding my romantic feelings for him) and rejecting it. therefore the answer is also No.

Interestingly, his ruler is going into his own radical 9th house so he's definitely thinking about long-distance journey also. He knows I'm going to vacation, and it will be in his hometown (England). He very much wanted me to meet his family for some reason but he is unable to go. He is also going into the querent's 3rd house (communication) so it shows querent wants contact.

Conclusion.

With applying positive aspect but poor reception plus Saturn in the 1st house, a contact still can happen, however it wouldn't be as hoped (romantic intent), or there is intent but contact wont happen anyways. So, not a favourable outcome.
