From a non-tarot standpoint, I don't think it would hurt to tell them what is going on and provide evidence so that they are likely to side with you. I actually have been somewhat confused about the career path that best for me, considering of my lack of skill, career wise. I take that sales related job because that is the only job that i have experienced before and fortunately i did well on it. It is not the career path that i want to do for the long term. I just do it only so that i can afford my college and get a degree that i want and get a better job then, so your reading is correct.
