I have a feeling your son misses his father and feels possessive over him. I don't think he understands the divorce and he keeps waiting for his dad to come home or he wants to live with his dad? Because this is obviously not happening (maybe on a subconscious level he knows this won't happen) he resents you a little bit He is not talking to you about his visits with his dad because he knows you want him to, in short. It's his way of feeling closer to his father, if that makes sense.

I don't think he understood what was going on at first but is slowly putting the pieces together, that a gradual change is taking place and it isn't going to go back to how it used to be. I think he is feeling a bit alone and like he has to protect himself? He is definitely on the defense judging from the 9 of Wands. Like I said earlier I don't think he understands how his father is responsible for some reason. 8 of Pentacles + The Empress and then he 9 of Wands makes me think he is finding reasons to distance himself from you, in his own mind. These cards may also be pointing towards him finally accepting the divorce too seeing as how we drew 8's and 9's - it means the process is near completion. The Empress is another symbol for relaxing, so maybe this is just his grieving process and he is almost settled / comfortable with the way things are now.

King of Swords 6 of Wands Page of Cups Wheel of Fortune The High Priestess

If I read this from the middle, out, I would say what you can do is just observe him and follow his lead emotionally. It looks like in time you will find out the reasons why he acts the way he does (6 of Wands, and the reasons: King of Swords, Page of Cups, The High Priestess) It could be something his dad's girlfriend said or did (The High Priestess can sometimes represent The Other Woman). The King of Swords and the 6 of Wands may represent a good, serious conversation and then moving on from it confidently. I'm not a parent so I don't know what it's like to have a child while going through a divorce...but the 6 of Wands and Page of Cups make me think to follow your heart. The Wheel of Fortune and The High Priestess may also indicate things will work out in your favor if you just wait and don't act or say anything just yet.
