My mom again... I don't know why, but everytime I talk to her about someone that is married, she tells me to be careful to not being involved with this person. I'm not the type that falls in love easily, and if I know that the person is already taken, I just run away from the feeling....I'd love an exchange to know why my mother acts like this? I know that sometimes she wants to protect me, but I can't be happy for someone and then she says things like this!!  IP: Logged |

I don't often answer these, but I got a strong intuitive hit when I read your post. "She speaks from experience". I feel she's been through it, it was painful, and she'll try hard to keep you from making the same "mistake" she made. I also feel that if you approached her openly and not defensively and asked her why she always feels she needs to warn you, she might be willing to share her experience with you. I don't need an exchange. I'm not sure if this is even correct. It just hit me strongly when I read your words. Hugs IP: Logged |
