This is my personal opinion, but the more you dwell on this topic the more "bad energy" you are creating around you in higher dimensions. Even if it were true, the best way to get rid of it is not through paying psychics, but through positive thinking and meditating and such. Spiritually, there's something called the law of attraction, where you attract basically what you think and such. My best advice to you is to ask your spirit guides for protection and help, but you may not believe the same thing that I do so it can be adapted to your beliefs. For example, asking God for help or Allah. Or even dear ones who have passed away. The way I think of it, everything is "light", but it's within a range of 0%-100% light, with 0% being the darkest since it has "no light" (I don't believe there is anything THAT light deprived but there could be) and I think that "light" correlates to positive attributes such as kindness and love. So basically to increase the amount of "light", or to raise your vibration, simply focus on positive attributes. That is your best protection.
