I'm not sure if any of you has some expertise in tasseography, but I have a bunch of questions regarding this method. A couple days ago, I was making my morning coffee and after a couple of minutes, a clear cut shape appeared in my cup. I hadn't touched my coffee yet. I had to take a picture because the shape was very clearly drawn. It was a symbol. It had never happened before. I didn't even know about tasseography until I Googled it after this unusual instance occurred. What I would like to know : - How to interpret symbols which appear in tea/coffee cups when they are still full? - Why do these shapes suddenly appear in one's cup? Thank you!

I go by the Turkish method, drinking all but the grounds, then turning it upside down, letting it cool off and read. Which symbol did you see? http://www.turkishculture.org/lifes...tyle/coffee-fortune-telling-205.htm IP: Logged |

Hey mineagain!I actually practice this method and it comes out very accurate for me when I'm doing my tea leaf readings! you should try following the steps on his website below and they have a whole list of symbols. Tea leaf reading can even tell you the future as well along with present and past and answers your seeking on the bottom of the cup. http://tasseography.com/stepone.htm I use this site 100% of the time! Let me know what you think ------------------ Sun Capricorn, Moon Aries, Libra Rising IP: Logged |

Thank you all for your replies! I've been trying to learn more about this method. Here is the picture. As I said, I had just poured coffee in my cup. I didn't touch it at all, and this shape appeared. The following day, I had the same phenomenon in a cup of hot chocolate which I couldn't take a picture of because I didn't have my camera. Unless this is some new method, I think you're not doing it correctly. You're not supposed to be "reading" the pictures the coffee itself makes while the cup is full (so the heart shape/shih tzu shape is just a coincidence), you're supposed to read the picture the coffee grounds make after you've finished drinking your coffee, turned it over, and let the coffee grounds settle for a few minutes. Google image "coffee tasseography" to see what I mean more clearly. Also, you can google "traditional coffee tasseography" to learn how to do it. Now if this is some new method, then ignore what I said above, but otherwise I think you may have misunderstood how to do it. IP: Logged |
