These cards suggests that there has a disagreement or argument (whip) with you (bear) which now has him evaluating his choices. Perhaps during the conversation or discussion, you shows strength - put your foot down about something OR you brought up a conversation a topic that you have discussed before (whip = repetitive) and this has lead him evaluate the path that he would like to take with you. terms of what the argument/discussion was about... The cards suggest that you perhaps brought up his behaviour as the topic - his underhandedness or secretive behaviour; because it comes across as deceptive - which makes you unsure of where you stand. As you say, the mixed messages are making things unclear for you and now the ball is in his court... He is now deciding, deliberating on what you have said.

I get that even though he does have feelings for you (stars); and these will be unlocked/realised (key) as he thinks about what his choices are, he also has a very big ego (tower) which will block him from admitting how he feels about you or making any moves towards you. Alternatively, his ego will slow down the process of revealing it to you... So, this back and forth could go on for a very long time yet!

When I pulled a clarifier for how long it would go on for/how long it will take, I convinently pulled the MAN card, which suggests to me that this situation will continue to drag on until HE is good and ready to break the cycle!!
