I had to do the right thing and pretty much turn my papa and his new wife for her taking her son out of state and she is going through a custody battle and that is a big no no. i don't want to get into all the details but i know that with what they did it is a class one felony and they are looking up to 30 years in prison. He is also getting prosecuted for unpaid loan which was $10,000 i felt so bad for doing what i did but i know it was the right thing to do and i say that because this is the man that raised me and i've already lost my memaw last year and i feel that he will not make it in prison because he has never been to prison. my question is will he get a lighter sentence or will i pretty much never see my papa as a free man again and that he will die in prison mind you he is 59 years old. i never imagined in my almost 23 years of my life that i would see my papa in prison. I hate prisons for the fact that my father was in and out of prison all my life and i pretty much grew up going to prisons. im just so worried and scared for my papa i have never been so depressed than ever. i feel as though i am the only family member he has left as to his own biological daughter and the rest of our family has turned their backs on him. Any help would be very appreciated please and thank you <3<3<3

How is he getting prosecuted for a loan? Do you live in the u.s as a major in law. Yes your papa could get a lighter sentence if the prosecutor cuts a plea deal with him this plea deal has to do with criminal history and records what's the person like. So if this is your papas first offense the prosecutor could take into consideration age and stuff and cut a pretty lenient plea deal but, if your papa decides to go to trial.. This is where if he is found guilty he will get the max sentence for kidnapping if found guilty for kidnapping because kidnapping is a serious offense. Hope I helped.

yes this would be his first offense. He has never been in jail his record is clean. I would hope he takes the plea deal or if i would be able to talk to his lawyer and be able to possibly get him on probation. This man was controlled and manipulated by his low life wife. She took advantage of him because he was never the same after my grandmother had passed away. And yes i do live in the US and not paying loans especially since his was 10 grand that could be jail time now im not sure how long though. They were moving at the end of this month but i had no idea she was waiting to get her kid and go. This woman is a nutcase and had him believing stuff that was not true. thats why when he gets a lawyer i want them to give him a psyche evaluation because he isnt all that right his mother even died in a mental instiution
