I need help like detailed exchange

My new job full of false ******** promises, my new boss knew in the interview and etc that I can't work Saturdays, he said it was fine, and my beat friend is getting married at city hall Monday I'm the qitness/maid of honor and I told him he said it was fine, and he doesn't think it will be busy Monday. I get my schedule and I'm working Monday and Saturday as well as 5 shifts total that I said I want part time. I said something and all he could say was "well Saturday's going to be a huge busy day" umm I stated I can't work Saturdays at all like wtf I can't take this

I think he's just overwhelmed with his personal duties and felt you could assist him. He may be a bit selfish here and even though he knew, he thought that since you wanted the job you'd do what is required to get the work done. I'd say go to your friend's wedding, since you've already made your commitment there and tell him, that it may not work out because of scheduling issues if he can't be cooperative on that.
