Thank you, Leeloo. PRINCESS OF DISKS is such an inspirational card .

When the relationship looks done for, only a new beginning is possible. The fact that is might be with J is amazing. This relationship may indeed be the challenge that is, as you say - "encouraging you to find yourself ".

The illustrated card shows a Teutonic like image representing the Goddess Erda who was primary Muse and universal life giver to many primitive cultures in Europe.

As a persona (from the Latin Personae, which means Mask) the Queen of disks (Pentacles on Waite decks) represents a mature, dark woman who is practical and able to make specific forms out of potential substance. In other words, she is able to both nourish and define. She is the physical nutritionist. We must also remember that a personality is but a mask over the face of our Spirit. Which another Thoth Queen, Queen of Swords, points out as she holds a mask in her left hand.

Esoterically for the querent, the Queen of Disks, suggests a high level of compassion, loving and nurturing the earth, and rejoicing in life. This card also suggests a gift from a rich relative and since it is a Threshold for birth ( giving substance to dreams) the Queen of Disks can also represent a happy marriage for a young man.

The Queen of Disks, is a personality grounded in mothering and the earth. She shows great harmony with the Physical World and health. This is a Wise Woman of Earth, who is very intelligent when it comes to physical things but can have difficulty arising above the material world.

There is great symbolism to this card:

The dual meaning of the Serpentine Horns on her helm that represent the Horns of Hathor (Egyptian Earth Goddess whose symbol was the cow) and the Life force of Earth.
The Capricorn goat.
The Crystal headed staff of Life (Crystallized light is what earth material is).
The Reptile Patterned Dress that symbolizes regeneration force (serpents shed their old skin to become new).
The Pineapple Throne of Earthly Wisdom and nutrition."

Yes, if you are not very close, it probably means a hiatus between you two, over the holidays.

THE CHARIOT

new beginning, time of preparation and clarification, meditation, looking inward, journey into expanded realms of being

your life is showing clear signs and signals indicating the coming change, in the upcoming period.
your style of living is about to change, and so is your approach on relationships. new people enter your life, sometimes coming from a distance.
for your new start, ask yourself this question: is my partner/POI taking the same path? a shared journey is ahead of you, if your priorities match.
what do you need for this preparation?
look at the cards and see the Charioteer is meditating. his gaze indicates inner concentration, and the spinning disk is the wheel of fortune. the meditation is necessary in order to synchronize your inner being with the wheel, with the outer events, and to manifest your love destiny.
for a couple, this is a great time to practice shared meditation. telepathy is present, and people who love you will now give you a sign.
advice: making an accounting of your present life situation. at the end, formulate clearly the desires and goals you have in love. then immediately take some concrete steps yourself, to implement these changes, and notice how things soon start moving in your chosen direction.

"In the Thoth Deck Key 7-The Chariot, the Cancer Crab stands on the Knights Helm, referring to the zodiacal sign of Cancer, into which the Sun moves at the summer solstice. Cancer is the cardinal sign of Water, shown as blue above and below the charioteer..Cancer not only represents the first on rush of the element water, but is also represents the Path Cheth (meaning fence or enclosure) that leads from the Great Mother Binah (understanding) to Geburah (Severity), on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. The Chariot represents the Veil of Water ( which is blood) in which the energy of the Supernal (The Trinity) descends on the energy of mankind as Prana and inspires the "spirit within". This card supports the old axiom," ...The Know is in the Flow" and helps us realize the value of Prana Yama (Yoga breath) breathing,.
The canopy of the Charioteer, is of the sky blue, both the color of water and of the color of the Great Gnostic Sophia and/or Binah, in her Wisdom state of energy conscious. The four pillars of the canopy, represent the Pillars of the Universe while the Scarlet wheels represent the original energy of Geburah (the cleansing menstrual blood of the Goddess)that causes the revolving motion in the Universe. The four Sphinxes that are drawing the Chariot, have the heads of the Four Kerubs, The Bull, The Lion, The Eagle and The Man. They actually represent the 16 sub-elements rather than just four, since in each Sphinx these elements are counter-changed. The amber-gold armor of the Charioteer represents the sign of Cancer, The reins are not in his hands because he is throned in the Chariot rather than conducting it as the whole system is in perfect balanced and his only function is to bear the Holy Grail. This Grail looks like a Blue and Red Chakra in his hands, as both colors represent the One Womb of the Blue Binah and the Red Geburah. The design of the Ten Stars of Assiah sits upon his chest as an inheritance of the celestial dew of the Mother.
Cancer maybe known as the House of the Moon but Jupiter is also exalted in Cancer. This concept is illustrated as the color of Amethyst that rings the Grail. The Shape of the Grail represents the Full Moon and the Great Sea of Binah. Spiritual life is inferred by the radiant blood -red in the center of the Grail: light in the darkness of the Womb. Again, studying the individual symbols will lead to a greater understanding of the whole. The Charioteer looks the masculine part he is, but this card is of the Goddess as Binah and Geburah which are both receptive (female) and expressive (male). One will find that in the Gnostic Qabalah, both sexes are insuperable, where there is She, there is He and visa versa. The Chariot is the mystical Merkabah , the Chariot that carries the Throne of God in the visions of Ezekiel. The Throne is stable and unmoving, while the Chariot descends on the Revolving wheels of Geburah.
Arcana means secret and/or mystery and the Major Arcana (Key Cards) are deeply embedded in mysterious secrets buried in the imagery of time long past while being totally relevant to today, requiring much study. " To know thyself, is to know God". describes the mystery of the Qabalah.
When this card is thrown during a reading the querent is or will be soon experiencing , health, success, triumph, and victory. All of which shall be a combination of stillness and activity. There is a principle of self mastery through change and movement towards a goal.
In other words, winning one's own way. Self confidence that propels one to victory. In the next 7 weeks or 7 months, the querent will be making changes in their job,or home or travel"

The card you pulled is really relevant with my situation now. I have been undergoing some changes recently that I'm still dealing with. I'm looking forward to making positive changes when it comes to love. Its also interesting how there is a slight difference on how The Chariot is read in the Thoth deck. Thank you for the reading leeloo

Not a great card, Viv
INTERFERENCE 8 OF SWORDS

mistrust, ambivalence, fear of making the wrong decisions, brooding, top-heaviness, uncertainty

Things mostly happen in the head now, rather than on actional level. You don't dare to be honest with him, or him with you, and the relationship is lacking clarity. The relationship demands a decision, but it seems this is what scares you the most.
You feel torn and searching in vain for a solution. However the more you think about it, the less secure the ground beneath your feet.
Unfortunately, this card also shows someone is or may interfere between the two of you.
The advice here is to stop overthinking, to let things rest and develop on their own. New aspects may develop from a point on, that can't be foreseen right now. Ziegler says "this is a time for you to regain inner clarity and the warmth of your heart"

"By now, we know that Swords are the Suit of Air which is the suit of Mind, intellect, and conscious. The 8 of Swords, is of the 8th Sephira-Hod, which means splendor which is all about pretense. This signifies a genuine lack of persistence in matters of intellect and contest. Yet the 8of Swords is also attributed to Jupiter in Gemini, so good fortune attends even the weakest effort; However. the Will is being constantly thwarted by accidental interference.
The Center of the Card is dominated by two downward pointing long swords. They are being crossed by six small swords , implying many small thoughts interfering with the larger issues. It is interesting to note that these small swords are peculiar to countries or cults, such as the Kriss, the Kukri, the Scramasax, the Dagger, the Machete and the Yataghan; implying that outside interference, such as indoctrination, could be the cause of difficulties.
When this card is thrown it implies that in 8 weeks or 8 months, the querent has or will have experienced narrow or restricted thought that shortens their force. There will be pettiness, a mental prison, and too much force applied to small things. Over attentive in detail, at the expense of principal and more important issues.
If the 8 of Swords-Interference is ill dignified by the accompanying cards, the above stated qualities will produce malice, pettiness, and domineering qualities
There is patience in detail of study, great ease in some things, counterbalanced by equal disorder in others. Being influenced by Gemini (The two long swords) there is always a equal and opposite balance, such as, impulsively being fond of giving or receiving money and/or presents. This person will be generous, clever, acute, selfish, and without strong feelings of affection. They will also admire wisdom but will apply it to small and unworthy objects. The Eight of Swords-Interference, also implies that the person has seen goals, but is approaching them, if at all, very slowly and needing to be very meticulous in doing so, because of the constant distraction of the many nagging, needling thoughts in their head. The goals will be achieved in time, by patience and attention to detail, which all would be sped up by being able to focus on the import issues at hand. Mental focus is recommended which can be acquired by practicing meditative yoga or the various martial arts, and/or mental meditative sciences such as Qaballah, Tantra, and Ti-Chi. Just pick one and do it!"

It doesn't look too good for now
5 OF SWORDS DEFEAT

I should say that probably nothing will happen between the two of you for now; if there was breakup, it will continue; if it's a relationship at its beginning, it won't happen for now, sorry

loss, fear, defensive aggression, flight, hiding feelings, fear of defeat or betrayal.

you are afraid of losing, you may flee into your snail shell, or you will be attacked and feel a loss. someone may leave the relationship for fear the other will leave. unhealthy habits in the relationship, patterns leading to hiccups, mental patterns in need of changing.
to avoid pain, sometimes you try to second guess. learn not to bleed yourself dry by yourself. you alone may be responsible for your wounds.
try to use your energies creatively, and some place else, if you feel a path is closed, sometimes paths reopen by themselves. but don't fight lost battles. remember than in every defeat lies a hidden victory, for something else.

"The Five of Swords-Defeat, is of the 5th Sephira-Geburah, whose meaning is Severity. Thus Geburah,#5, always produces disruption to any suit. In the Five of Swords there is also the fact that Venus is now ruling Aquarius, such a ruling produces a passive weakness rather than an excess of strength. Besides that fact that Treachery may also be implied, the normally cutting edge wit is also enfeebled by sentiment, making treachery even more disastrous to the person.
Inverting the pentagram, is a sinister sign of "things being turned upside-down",, where thoughts of success have been defeated by unseen severity.
The Thoth Deck 5 of Swords, also represents "self-defeating" thoughts, as the hilts of the 5 swords are individually different, implying confused thinking, making matters even worse. The Swords are 'drooping" and chipped, representing old thoughts being kept long after their usefulness; thoughts, that never worked in the first place; the combination of which can only bring defeat. The Great Balancing Rose of the Mother, is totally missing from this card, and only the 'blood" of Geburah forms the pentagram outline. This is the Cleansing Blood, that destroys the old, putrid and useless "software" of the personality, in-order to build anew. As you can see, this is a severe action to a personality whose denial is its sole support.
When the Five of Swords is thrown during a reading, the querent, or the one the querent has asked about, will be or has been experiencing for the next or the past five weeks, or five months; defeat, loss, malice, spite, slander, and all modes of evil speaking. There is contest finished and decided against the person, whose thoughts of defeat, anxiety, and trouble may be generated by this defeat or help its cause. The 5 of Swords also means grieving unrelentingly after pain and loss, There are issues of malicious, slandering, lying, and tale-bearing thoughts. The presence of a busy-body who enjoys separating friends; one who hates to see peace and love between others. Clever and quick in thought and speech, yet cruel and cowardly, is also suggested.. Not only could all these negatives be thought by another, but they could also be inner thoughts of the querent towards themselves. The very episode of low self esteem.
This is all very sinister, but as luck would have it, it is the beginning of an understanding that past "self thoughts" are either too dependent on the reactions of others to our self, and/or by seeking self-value through others, we are unable to be ourselves....by serving two masters, we can only arrive defeated in purpose. The lesson here, that I often tell my clients, is that you've been created because you are good enough for God/Goddess, by seeking approval from those who cannot build you nor have control over their own identities, you can never be the you that was created in the first place! I AM Me, is our Trinity of Self....Not I Am "wana-be"! Me, is the invention of I AM's self-awareness and is a understanding full of probability, so it is okay to experiment with self-identity. Just remember the axiom, 'think ill be ill, think well be well" ...You've already been well thought of----that is why you exist! It really is okay to love being you!"

QUEEN OF SWORDS

This is a very nice influence for finding and expressing your true self, which is an absolute step on the path of finding true love.

liberation from masks and roles; honesty, openness, courage, clarity.

you are ready to show your true face in relationships. drop caution and falseness, people want to see you and love you for who you truly are
"If you avoid unnecessary caution and all forms of hide-and-seek, you will reach new depths and new clarity in your relationships"

Courage is very important now, for your future in love. Dropping the superficial, being honest with yourself will bring honesty and the "real deal" from the others.

"In the Thoth Deck Tarot, the Queen of Swords shows a remarkable resemblance to Kali-Ma, the fierce sword wielding, skull bedecked, Goddess of Life and Death of Hindu origins.
Qabbalistically, the Queen of Swords represents the Watery part of Air. Air being the representing element of Mind and Water that also represents the element of "emotion". The Queen of Swords is attributed with the elasticity of this combination and the power of transmission that this Watery Air provides.
She rules the zodiac from the 21st degree of Virgo to the 20th degree of Libra. In the Thoth Deck Tarot, she is enthroned upon clouds (Watery-Air), topless and wearing a gleaming belt and sarong, symbolizing the Great Mother of Consciousness. Upon her helmet is the child head crest from which the sharp rays of light are emitted, illuminating her empire of celestial dew.[Celestial dew is the substance that radiates from the pineal gland when it is stimulated in a higher vibration by the Kundalini, that baptizes the brain, resurrecting the 2/3ds of "sleeping brain" that is not used in the mundane, human-being. This dew awakens Divya-Sidhis and/or "magic abilities"] . The Child crest symbolizes the Divine Child within us all---the Innocent One of Enlightenment before we are "dumbed down" by indoctrination..
In her right hand, the Queen of Swords holds a sword (the Sword of Geburah-Severity) and in her left hand the head of a bearded man. That bearded man is the Mask of Patriarchal Culture that we use to define ourselves----when in Truth, We have already been Defined by the Divine as It's Child---enlightenment comes from realizing that no-further self definition is needed as we've been Defined into Being already! All other definition is just masking our Truth. So here we can see that the Queen of Swords is the clear conscious perception of Idea, the Liberator and expander of the Mind,
The Archetypical personality of this card would give a person lucidity of perception, a keen observer (cutting edged), a subtle interpreter, an intense individualist, swift and accurate at recording ideas; confident in action, with a gracious and just spirit. Being graceful in motion and extraordinary in balance, she will have exceptional dancing abilities. A very strong willed Woman who clearly knows what she wants and can bring about her ideas swiftly and without nonsense.
If ill dignified She will be a very dangerous person, of exceptional cruelty, slyness, and deceitfulness, all wrapped-up in a superficial beauty and attractiveness. This ill dignity is because of her inability to support interference, so foresight, prudence, care in preparation of action (paying attention to details) will safeguard the individual from the negative side of this personality.
The Queen of Swords represents the True Will (Will-To-Be) and has the power to cleave away the unnecessary gross to build the Pure idea. To some this can be disastrous, but the Gross is all they believe in, knowing not their own Pure Self they see Kali-Ma as a Fanged Hag with Severed Heads {symbolizing personality death) standing on the backs of copulating Lovers who die in her Sword thrust. The "little death" of orgasm is resplendent in this image, causing even greater fear of "male-female" union amongst the ignorant. However, to the knowledgeable, the union of male-female is the sacred act of communion that builds All. [Tantric studies are recommended for those who wish to Know].....the flesh-o-phobes may just shiver in the joy of the nightmare of sensuality that comes with having a form build out of Divine Sensual Passion. The Lust To Be, is knowledge of the "Big Bang"---the Great Orgasm that has activated us all. To know the Dancing Goddess-God, is to Know Thyself!
'nuff said. I don't want to cause anyone to overly scourge their poor innocent body for the "wrong-doing" of impassioned thought; thought that seems out of control, only because the "man-made ego" is to weak to handle Divine power!. When that weakness masking us is removed, we find that we are the Divine Power that has clear purpose and Great Will to Be!"

Lovely card!
6 OF CUPS PLEASURE

sexuality, enjoyment, pleasure, fun with physical love, emotional interchange, the possibility to combine sex and emotions, love; chance for tantra

for Crowley, this card is sexual. the card invites you to surrender to yur eroticism, the richness of your emotions.
quite self explanatory

advice from Ziegler: "buy a book about sexuality and relationships and read to each other from it"
I guess if you are single, you can buy and read it for yourself and see what happens lol I think your sexual aura will increase and draw some bees

"The number Six, is Tiphareth on the Tree of Life, which is known as the "Christ or Buddha" consciousness. Six is also the number for the Sun (Son), that is also in the Sign of Scorpio thus the whole influence is of the Sun in the suit of Water.
This card represents the basis for fertility of all life. In the Thoth Deck 6 of Cups, we have the Lotus stems in a type of sensual dance, gushing water from their blossoms. The cups are not yet overflowing, as Nine is the number of completion.
As we all know, pleasure is relative to the perspective, but in this case pleasure is of the Highest Sense. In the Six of Cups, Pleasure, implies, well-being, and harmony of natural forces without effort or strain.. There is only ease and satisfaction, yet foreign to the card's definition, is the gratification of animal desires.
There may seem to be some contradiction to the gratification of animal desires, because this card is the emphatic fulfillment of the Sexual Will, as shown by Scorpio, The Sun and the Water sign. The idea of Pleasure (putrefaction) as a Sacrament may seem an outlandish idea to the mundane who have been taught that pleasure is tantamount to sin; However, the Six of Cups-Pleasure is one of the master- keys to the Qabalistic Gate of Initiation. To know and understand this is to experience the ecstasy of the Christ-conscious that is Tiphareth,#6 Sephira on the Tree of Life. In an inadequate attempt to explain this Pleasure, I call it the "orgasm that never stops"......it is a harmonic generated by the complete balancing of the "As above, so below". This Pleasure is of Cosmic proportions, such as the uninhibited union of "Soul Mates" or Tantric Unions of Divine Beings. Normally, the higher states of this card are not experienced by the "normal" and/or "mundane" people of society.
Since most people aren't into the "Higher disciplines" that help us remember this Powerful Balance of One, usually when thrown during a reading, and depending on the position of the card in that reading; the querent is or will be soon, experiencing the beginning of wish fulfillment, happiness, success and enjoyment. Commencement of a steady increase in gain and pleasure.
If the accompanying cards are ill defined , the querent will be experiencing the opposites of the above, such as, affront, deceptive knowledge, and in some very negative instances, contention and strife arising from egotism and vanity. Sometimes thankless and presumptuous. Sometimes amiable and patient. This usually happens when the card is surrounded in Swords of a negative vein."

Everyone please be patient, this thread is for entertainment and insight, mine and yours (not pressing questions).

I drew a card for your upcoming influence in love, Empress, I hope you enjoy it

PRINCE OF WANDS

First thought is the upcoming influence in your love life is a young man, perhaps not known at this point, with the features of this prince. A new connection with a firey person.

trust, openness, freedom, lightness, joy of life, fiery sensuality, seeing with the heart.
You will become more open yourself, with him, and ready to share your true nature and intentions.

"openness, trust and blossoming love are the qualities of the heart which the Prince of Wands brings to expression as no other card does"
a Leo vibe. Joy, childlike trust and games, giving each other space to feel oneness.
the whole world seems open to you now. optimism and lightness.
you will also do new things, unexperienced before, with this partner
strong sensuality, you will express your desire openly. you will become more daring. you will now be free of care and fear.

"By just looking at this Thoth Deck Card, The Prince of Wands presents a powerful figure which definitely compliments this omnivorous personality. The Prince of Wands represents the Airy part of Fire and ever expanding and volatile force. In the zodiac, he rules from the 21st degree of Cancer to the 20th degree of Leo. When viewing this card, we see this warrior dressed in scale mail, with his vigorous arms uncovered which emphasizes his great ability for activity This card exudes swiftness, passion and power, from his winged lion helm, all aflame, to his flaming lion drawn chariot. On his chest is the sigil of To Mega Therion and in his left hand he bears the wand of the 2nd Adept (in the ritual of 5 degrees=6 degrees of R.R. @ A.C.), the wand of power and energy while he controls the reins of the Lion steed (Leo and Sun) with his right. The sea of flames both radiant and salient, is his path of travel.
As an Archetype his morality is swiftness and strength, with impulsiveness acting quickly to outside influences. When reacting to trifles, he can become undecided because he views them unimportant and not flamboyant enough for a heated argument, in which he not only excels but also enjoys. His volatility demands volatile displays of opinion, even if he rarely believes "whole heartedly" in such. He just loves stating a vigorous proposition for the sake of vigor! He can argue with vehemence both sides of any question which tends to make him slow to make up his mind thoroughly on any subject. His sense of justice is well made, but he feels that justice isn't really achieved in the intellectual world, showing a noble and generous character. Since embellishment is often vigorous, he loves to "tell tall tales" and his boasting can attain great heights, while slyly laughing internally at himself and the listening audience. He just loves to entertain both himself and others, while not taking the world of man to seriously. Thus he is often endeared to elaborate pranks, and even horrendous bouts of ridicule on some inoffensive nobody, only to give the shirt of his back to the same target, if needed. He really doesn't even take himself to seriously----he just loves Vigorous passion! His pride is great and his scorn for meanness and pettiness is even greater. With fanatical endurance and massive doses of courage, he will fight the great fight against all odds and over the long haul--he will win because of his enormous capacity for work; a work which he exercises for its own sake; loving the journey more than the goal. His haughty contempt for the world at large coexists with his profound respect for everyman and Woman, as a Star of individual and rare beauty. This type of Powerful, swift, vigorous and generous personality holds Terror for those who wish to hide amongst the herd and he will often incur enimies...who talk behind his back rather than face the Lion before them. In fact many of his "enemies" will never have met him---but hearing about him was enough terror for them.
If ill dignified, The Prince of Wands is antithesis of the above qualities, and shows great cruelty, indifference and is often sadistic He will show tenancies for laziness, intolerance, prejudice all because these are qualities of the idle mind and saves the trouble of thought. He would also be a great boaster and a coward,
However, such a powerful spirit is usually well dignified and with a sincere heart he works to benefit those below. He really enjoys intercourse with people, and loves to hear them laugh."

Thank you LeeLoo2014 for your time and energy!

Interesting deck, I must say.

Maybe just a feedback; nothing has happened between us so far, but I do know, that he has gone through horrible break up lately and has been hurt very much in his past relationship. I however, have some strong self-esteem issues – this card definitely resonates at some level for me.

Thank you again for your insight. Will try to pull the best out of the suggestion that was written under the card. Thank you!

Courage is very important now, for your future in love. Dropping the superficial, being honest with yourself will bring honesty and the "real deal" from the others.

I have noticed that lately, I've been a lot more open towards everyone. Before, I used to shy away from people I haven't met or situations I've never been into. Mainly because I was not as confident before. Thank you so much for the wonderful reading! I am very much in love in the card!

quite self explanatory

advice from Ziegler: "buy a book about sexuality and relationships and read to each other from it"
I guess if you are single, you can buy and read it for yourself and see what happens lol I think your sexual aura will increase and draw some bees

I think I see deep worries distorting your view on the situation live in the here and now, doubts and negative expectations are only clouding clarity and vision. if you are not prepared to do so, the destructive force of your thoughts will, sooner and later, bring about the very events you fear the most. Now it is important to relax and accept thankfully whatever life happens to offer or take away.

Hang in there, Fishy

This is for you, Computergal, I got the same card...not a bright card, but there are lessons in every one.
Adding Eli's interesting insight, for you and Fishy

"The Axiom, "Above all things, know thyself", is an old but well established doctrine of the Gnosis, of which Qabalah is the foundation.
In the Gnostic Gospels of Didymos Judas Thomas, Jesus is quoted as saying,"If those who lead say to you,'see, the kingdom is in the sky.' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, you will then become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons [suns] of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who is that poverty." (The Gnostic Gospel of Thomas---The Nag Hamadi Library--)
The word Suns in brackets is of my own insertion, because the original word is interpretable as Sun/Son, both having similar meanings in Qabalah, the fact that many Monks who interpreted the Gospels from the original Greek, were misogynistic, required them to use the word "Son".. Being that we are all androgyny, each of us, both male and female, are to be Tiphareth (beauty) which is number 6 on the Tree of Life. Six is the number of the Sun, and is the Christ/Buddha state of conscious energy; the highest state of mind that we can reach in a physical body. More research into the old papyri that was dug up in Nag Hamadi Egypt , will reveal even more Gnostic gems for the inquiring mind.
In the process of "Remembering ourselves", the Seven of Swords is no exception. The number 7, being not only the number of the "goddess", is also the Sephira- Netzack (meaning Victory) on the Tree of Life. Netzach- Victory, in the suit of Swords is not as catastrophic as in the other suits, as Netzach is the Sephira of Venus. This modifying influence is accentuated by the celestial fact of the Moon being in Aquarius, as the planetary rule of this card. To speak of this modifying influence simply, is that the intellectual wreckage of this card is not so vehement as is the Five of Swords-Defeat, as there is vacillation, and a certain tolerance brought on by the need to compromise. However, in certain circumstances, the need to compromise, can bring even greater disaster than defeat, depending on the success of the policy of compromise.
The policy of appeasement that is suggested by this card, is always in doubt, as there exists uncompromising- violent forces which prey on vacillation.
What the Seven of Swords represents, is the futility of using this doctrine of appeasement to approach God-Self Knowledge, i.e. The Higher Self.. The brain is indoctrinated by Rulers, so the definition that has been pounded into your head, as "pleasure/pain training", (brain washing) will not let you stand in your Power, as you must kneel and bow your head to weakness/fear, as your master.; This need to appease those who you think can hurt you, is a violation of your Soul's "state of Mind", which is Oneness with the Creator. "If you wish to speak to me, you must stand, for I'll not kneel to your weakness." is not in anyway a policy of appeasement. It is , however, the Policy of the "Will to be", that is your Soul and is the necessary mental state needed to "above all things, know thyself".
It is futile, to use the brain's cultural software, when seeking your memory as a "Higher Self", you must use Declaration, I AM.....rather than "I wish". To Say, "I AM God's Body." rather than " I seek God's mercy and freedom from suffering", will get you out of your miserable state of mental slavery, imposed on you by "those who control definition"; those who call themselves, your masters.
The Seven of Swords-Futility, accentuates the axiom, "above all things, know thyself", by showing the Singular Sword of Self awareness. being chipped away by the contest of the "many feeble" thoughts against the Strong central "Will to be". The hilts of the six, more feeble swords, display the crescent Moon, Moonlight in its weaken state, suggesting illusion, and denial as the attaching "feeble thoughts". This causes the "appeasement" of self-doubt, a philosophy that will strive in vain. As we can see, "Above all things, know thyself", carries no such burden as self doubt, rather it is the freedom of self-trust.
When the Seven of Sword-Futility, is thrown during a reading, the querent is or shall, experiencing 7 weeks or 7 months of futile effort because of the characteristics of , self doubt , such as, being untrustworthy, due to vacillation. This brings about unstable effort in all that is attempted. There is also the prospect of journeying over-land, with mixed results.. Partial success is suggested, because of yielding when victory is at hand. Such a yielding is brought on by the self-defeating thoughts of self doubt which tend to "drain strength" because of internal conflict. In such thought, there is an inclination to loose when on the point of gaining through not continuing effort.
There is also suggested, a love of abundance, a fascination of display (where the wrapping is more important than the gift), given to compliments, ease of affronts and insolence's with need to detect and spy on others. Also, inclinations to betray confidences, not always intentional, but subject to vacillation, causing unreliability. The strength of which all depends on the dignity of the accompanying cards."

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

Sorry not an ugly card though, as imagery.

disappointment, unrealistic expectations, disillusionment, discontent, sadness

Ziegler says: this card usually indicates old emotional wounds from earlier relationships which are now being felt again in an equally painful way.

"Every disappointment is based on self deception. Begin now to stand by your own personal desires and needs without expecting your partner to fulfill them. Once you have made this very important step toward yourself, you will have learned the essential lesson of this Tarot card"

"Being a number 5, this card is ruled by Geburah, a fiery Sephiroth of Severity, who is now in a Water Suit-Cups. There is a natural antipathy here, as fiery heat causes a natural disturbance in water when it is at ease. What is even more disturbing is the fact that this card is also attributed to Mars in Scorpio. Scorpio is in its worst aspect in Mars, on the lowest plane of Geburah, which in this case, is the putrefying aspect of water. However, the powerful masculine aspect of Mars, slows down the putrefaction so that it is internal and not external, frustrating the anticipated pleasure that is emotionally sot.
The symbol of all this disturbance, is the lotus blooms being dried out by a hot wind, over a dead sea and the pentagram inverted, showing material trump over spirit. Mars is too hot for this card's natural watery peace and balance. What was thought to bring pleasure, doss not, and the person is disturbed
Being emotional, the Five of Cups tells the reader that the querent is experiencing, disappointment in love and marriage. Unkindness from friends, whether the querent deserves it or not, as shown by accompanying cards. The end of pleasure, sorrow and the
loss of things from which pleasure is expected. Sadness, deceit, treachery, ill-will, detraction and ill requited charity and kindness. There will be or is trouble from unexpected sources.
Not a totally devastating card, but disappointing none the less, as the Spirit points out to us that dependency on other persons, places, or events to make us happy, breeds disappointment, since Happiness built us to be Us and we don't need to seek it any more than a fish swimming in the ocean needs to seek water."

Dani, your love card for the upcoming period

lust, overcoming confining moral codes, honesty, joy in life, physicality, passion, sensuality, renewal, sexuality, integrating the shadows, ecstasy, taming the inner beast.

Live out your lust, Ziegler keeps chanting.
Lust or pleasure has to be savored, tasted and imbibed fully if you want to discover its valuable creative potential another quote.

I think you're very close to the big moment

Also, your Leo Moon will shine in the upcoming period.

"The Thoth Deck Key 11- Lust, is represented in many decks, as the Strength card. Crowley believe that there is far more truth and magick in the title of Lust. Upon viewing the Tree of Life, one can see that The Lust Card is not the path of Strength of Geburah ( Severity) but rather the influence from Chesed (Mercy) upon Geburah. It is also interesting to note, that the Path of Lust is balance both vertically and horizontally. Crowley judged Lust to be a more expansive term than Strength because Lust implies not only Strength bit the joy of strength exercised. To me, it is vigor and the rapture of vigor expressed in True Presence. This Rapturous Vigor represents something I call "Will to Be"; when the Soul's will to be is fully established in the physical flesh, " Beauty and Strength, leaping laughter and delicious languor, force and fire, are of us!"...to quote Crowley.
I really recommend that the truly seeking student get: THE BOOK OF THOTH (Egyptian Tarot) by Master Theron (Crowley) where the lascivious poetry and passionate prose, start a fire in your imagination. For this card cannot be understood by rationale thought, it must be felt in your guts as a burning passion, to be understood.
The Zodiacal assignation of the Lust card is Leo which is the Kerub of Fire and ruled by the Sun. This card is considered the most powerful of the 12 zodiacal cards and represents the most critical operations of both Magick and Alchemy.
The Hebrew letter attributed to this card is Teth, meaning serpent. The union of the zodiac and the letter Teth, produces the image we see illustrated on the Lust card,of the "Lion- Serpent" (latter to be called, Dragon who is a compilation of all animals) that combines the many headed lion body with a haloed Serpent tail. The Lust card portrays the original marriage as it occurs in nature showing a divine drunkenness or ecstasy. The woman (representing the Moon) is shown a little drunk, maybe a little mad with ecstasy riding upon a lust inflamed lion. This implies the creative and primitive order of energy that is completely independent of the criticism of reason.
The Thoth Deck Lust card portrays the Will of the Aeon (Will to be). The goddess is holding high The Grail filled with the blood of Saints, whose whole life has been absorbed by the Grail and whose bloodless images are in the back ground of this card.
In order to understand the magical doctrine of the Aeons, it is necessary to refer to the most ancient fables, legends and of the Zodiac.,The Aeons are subject to Zodiacal procession, for instance, the Aeon of Isis (the first Aeon) was connected to Pisces and Virgo. The last Aeon, that of Osiris, is connected to Aries and Libra. The present Aeon of Horus, is refered to Aquarius and Leo. The central mystery of the Aeon of Osiris , was that of incarnation, and descriptions of all god-men were founded on some mythological story of some kind that essentially denied human fatherhood to the hero or god-man (Daemon -in Greek) by portraying a animal in god form as the impregnator of the immaculate conceptions. For example, the Dove of the Holy Ghost, impregnated the Virgin Mary., Romulus and Remus (twins of Rome) where begotten of the God Mars and a virgin and were suckled by a Wolf. The father of Gautama Buddha, was said to be an elephant with six tusks who appeared in his mothers dream. Similar fables are to found in every religion based on the Dying God (the Aeon of Osiris). I would recommend a brief study of these fables before tomorrow's presentation of Part Two - the Thoth Deck Key 11-Lust card."

Ceri

...and it jumped.

I think it shows being very open to love in the upcoming period, and also possibly being open to picking one or two potential suitors Cupid's in the air. Your sex appeal is in their face now.

Lots to say here, and some nice Plato references, so I am posting this (for the others, you say you have the book)

"In the Text, THIRTY TWO PATHS OF WISDOM, Paul Foster Case called THE LOVERS, the Disposing Intelligence. The complexity of this card can barely be presented by the image on the card, and is even difficult to understand as a disposing intelligence.
THE LOVERS, the Path of Zain, runs between Binah (understanding) and Tiphareth (Beauty) and connects the Pure Conscious, from which all form emerged (Binah) with the central point of Manifestation (Tiphareth). The Term Lovers, seems simple enough, yet it is a complex and profound card, as it is not about the love of two humans, but rather the Twins or duality of the individual united in pursuit of Divine Love. The True meaning of Key 6, is embedded in the Astrological sign Gemini, The Twins. The Dual intelligent Forces of Male and Female, (electric and magnetic), are what THE LOVERS proposes to unite. These are equal and opposite Intelligence that must be united as a major step towards the Godhead on the Tree of Life. The surging of the Divine One Energy, across the Abyss into manifestation, formed stable dualities.
The Great Work, is a return to the primeval state (As above so below) by the communion or "marriage" of these dualities of manifestation.
As Robert Wang wrote about the Path of Zain (meaning; sword or armor) in his book: THE QABALISTIC TAROT," Thus this path may be considered the aspect of the Garden of Eden,from which mankind was expelled, but to which it may earn re-entry by conscious dealing with what has been called the inner Sun and Moon. The whole key to the Great Work is uniting of the Sun and the Moon under Mercury (the planet ruling Gemini)." [Illustration of the Tree of Life is from Robert Wang's text book" THE QABALISTIC TAROT}
On the Tarot Card, THE LOVERS, The Sun is the man, the Moon is the Woman, and the Divine Fire that is above the Abyss (The Vital Force or Serpent Force), is represented as Cupid. Case has stated that, the Sun is self-consciousness and that the Moon is subconsciousness. Paul Foster Case, considered that these are both aspects of the One Life Breath, each working half of the body. Today we know them as the Male half and the Female half of the human brain. As Case has stated,"When the Solar and Lunar currents of the Life-Power are rightly perceived, rightly discriminated, and when their operation is kept in proper order, the personality of the man engaged in this practice becomes a free, unobstructed channel for the outpouring of the cosmic life force." Case considered THE LOVERS card to represent one of the dualities united by the Spiritual Self. Just as most Tantric, and Gnostic practitioner's do.To the Qabalist, The Lovers, represents the union of manifested opposites under the Divine Love of the Supernals (Upper triangle of the Tree of Life) through Binah---The Great Mother. Thus, the Crowley Thoth Deck Card depicts the theme of union as and Alchemical "Hermetic Marriage" of the component parts pf the seeker.
This is an active path, for the self control and will attributed to Mercury,, which directs the movement and integration of opposites is not passive, in fact, it is the fiery force or the Serpent Force known as the Kundalini which is masculine fiery force, united with the Feminine Watery force (flowing in waves as "serpentine both in equal measure and full of fiery dynamic, and inspirational qualities. This is a red-hot marriage, complete with Honey Moon and resulting "little death". There is a type of death here, as the process of crossing the Abyss means the death of one's own Higher Self. It a willful and total self-destruction and immersion into the Divine. I'll leave you with a quote form the Gnostic Text, The Gospel of Didymos Judas Thomas where it is written that Jesus answered his disciples with:: (22) " When you make the Two One, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female;and when you fashion eyes in place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then you will enter the kingdom." Jesus obviously knew of the Principles attributed to THE LOVERS card, but then he was a Nazarene Gnostic Master which is a Qabalist...the Word Christos is Greek and refers to the Sun! This should keep you researching until tomorrow where I'll continue the blog on THE LOVERS key 6, The Path of Zain."

Oh wow! That is interesting. Did not expect that to be honest.

Well if there only were suitors.

(but until there might be, it is all about finding the balance inside, the internal alchemical marriage)

I was hoping for a more optimistic card but this card reflects what I am feeling currently. I have experienced a fair share of disappointment when it comes to my love life. I just found out some expected news about a man I was interested in, so yeah this is apt. Hopefully this 5 of cups moment doesn't last for too long. Thanks LeeLoo. 😊
