I did a spread by sweet_intuition at tarotforum and found it quite interesting. I broke up with someone for the 2nd time and wanted to see what the situation was between the two of us but Im having difficulties understanding a few of the cards I got as answers. (This is a 10 card spread btw)

–The reason he broke up with me? 9 of swords (He was unhappy, I was unhappy)
–What were his true feelings for me throughout the period of the relationship? Fool. (I kept getting King of Cups as his feelings towards me before we broke up)
–What is the Karmic ***** -slap they shall receive? 8 of Swords.

It's the Fool for feelings that Im finding difficult to interpret. Did he see the relationship as something new and interesting? A leap of faith? Or did he approach it mindlessly, like a fool? How would you guys interpret this card as feelings for someone?

8 of swords as 'karmic ***** slap' is interesting, because the Karmic lessons I need to learn from this relationship is 5 of swords, so these two cards are connected. 8 of swords has to do with fear, being stuck and an inability to evolve, but how would you guys interpret the card from the perspective of KARMA? (Any advice for me on the 5 of swords? Horrible card to be working with...)

I'll add that I got the Page of Wands rx as "What the future holds for my heart." But this card signifies children, so possibly someone immature..? Again?

If you were both unhappy and he broke it off then he was just tired of being stuck ( 8 of swords ) and ready to move in a new direction. ( the fool )

I don't understand what you mean by karmic slap ?
He did the right thing by ending things if you were both unhappy and moving on setting off on a new journey.

The 5 of swords is a difficult card I associate this card with betrayal in the terms of getting ahead at the expense of others. And you may win the battle but it is an empty victory and of no good yo either person. It is the no win situation card.

Were you holding on to this relationship even in the unhappiness just so you would not have to be alone. You were not willing to face your fears.
Though holding on made you feel good / safe it made him feel stuck and miserable and nothing good came out of it in the end, he finally saw it for what it was and made the call to end thing. It was a no win situation ( 5 of swords). Just to clarify he could have been stuck in that pattern too but decided to make the change and set off on a new journey, make a fresh start.

Vesta,

the Fool in the spread represents HIS feelings towards me WHILE in the relationship. It has nothing to do with the future in this spread. This spread is about our relationship as it was.

The 5 of Swords is about what I need to learn from the relationship and the 8 of swords, the card I pulled for him, about the Karmic consequences of HIS actions that he will be dealing with. This was the second time he left me in the relationship, after telling me he would NOT repeat the same mistake again. But he did.

(Also, please no quoting)
