Hmm, I'd come in with a different interpretation.

You've taken steps to get to a certain place in life, but now you're afraid to leave that position (be it a romantic one or a career one). You are, in effect, 'chained' to that position in life. It could also mean amazing sex (without the love component), and sexual liberation. It's not a negative card in my book. It can also represent a type of stability.
