Hey LLers! CLOSED I've been away for a second - apologies! I've been applying for new jobs etc. and the application processes are taking my energy Anyway, I was wondering whether anyone would be willing to pull some cards on the following question: 'Will I get any of the jobs that I have applied for?' If yes, 'which industry is it likely to be in?' I've applied for two jobs that I have a good feeling about so far and I am contemplating applying for a third one. However, it would be good to see if anyone can pick up on the industries that I have applied/will apply to shortly I'll provide you with feedback on the job application process, as and when I receive it. The closing date for the roles are towards the end of the month. Thank you in advance! Look forward to reading what you will pick up on! xxx IP: Logged |

you are applying for too few.. need to do more. The 2 apps you are talking about are just 'feelers'... they don't do anything for you. Job applications are never easy, but persevere through it. I can only see what has been done, and it does not seem enough. Do more applications. Do the third, fourth, fifth etc. IP: Logged |

Hi Ikja, Could we exchange? I have a work related question too. I will be conducting research in the summer for my course, but I don't yet know precisely where or on what. It will be related to food security for rural communities. It would help me to know which country or part of the World I should focus on. So, the question is: which country should I be looking to do research in this summer? I will be back with yours. IP: Logged |

Will you get a job you applied for? 7 of wands, 8 of wands, 3 of cupsA positive change is coming in your work life. It is important for you to be independent and think for yourself. 8 of wands says this is a golden opportunity of a time for you. Things are going your way. You may need to be patient, but the outcomes will be positive. 3 of Cups is also a good omen with regard to work. So, the answer seems to be yes, you will find work soon. IP: Logged |

Hey MM XThanks for responding I really appreciate it! I understand what you're saying, I think because they take so much of my energy, I try to only do the ones that I know I can give 9/10. Like, at present, I'm happy with the quality of the applications that I've submitted and I think I'm fearful that if I just apply to so many, the quality will dip and my output would be like 5/10 - mediocre! But I'll definitely take what you said into account. I am currently working full-time at the moment, from 10am-6pm; so I hardly get time to really sit down and get into things during the week. I have to wait until weekends. Thank you xxx will keep you posted IP: Logged |

Your question is difficult for me to answer because it's extremely broad. For me, it's like pulling cards trying to find a needle in a hay stack i.e. Pulling a card and trying to decipher out of the X amount of countries in the world, which one you should go for. It's too much scope for me lol. Do you have countries in mind? IP: Logged |

Thank you for pulling for me. Wonder which one it could be. Hoping for the best!

Sorry Ikja, yes this is not a question for tarot cards. Rather I need to name a country or continent and ask for a yes/no answer. Could pull for Europe and then Asia. Maybe it is none of these, but it will give me a starting point.IP: Logged |

Also get a friend, or friends, to proofread it for you- or use fiverr if you're in a pinch. I'm sorry, but you should apply for more. I understand what you're saying about quality, but you will also need to 'game the system' by increasing exposure/your odds. Can I exchange with you? My question is if anything will come out of the resume + transcript I was asked to send to SS at MF [law firm]? ples don't quote IP: Logged |

As MM's question is slightly easier, will do hers first and then AK's, because I need to finalise how I'm going to pull cards on that - I'm still deciding.Give me an hour for both x IP: Logged |

MM,I asked if anything would come from your submission to the law firm? I pulled: Scythe. This card suggests to me that No, and that nothing will come of your submission. I get the feeling that from this card, perhaps you acted quickly to make a submission because something was brought to your attention; but you did so without really thinking about the repercussions of your actions. Something tells me that your resume and transcript may show that you're not right for the role/company or your lacking experience. Is law really what you want to do? Or was it something that just sounded good at the time? I get the impression that it was a hasty move (but I could be wrong). When I asked why nothing would come from the submission.... I pulled: Key + Stars + Moon. Although these cards are all positive, I think they are saying that it's because you're yet to discover your dream/true calling. A positive outcome is guaranteed to you, but you need to follow your dreams. See what you really want and then go for it. Stay true to yourself and listen to your intuition. I hope that reasonates x IP: Logged |

Thank you for the reading. It was not a hasty submission, for sure. She asked me for my resume and transcripts because she found me interesting enough in person. The department SS is in isn't on my radar though due to the fact that I'm a slightly different type of lawyer- I don't do that specific type of law and probably never will because of how boring it is.. I know what type of law I want to work in, and that firm has a department. Again, thanks for the reading IP: Logged |

You're welcome xxxJust to clarify, when I said the submission was 'hasty' - I meant on your part. Not on the part person who asked you to submit. As you've said (and I don't dispute), the lady asked you to submit your resume... So you must have made an impression on her; but on your side I got the feeling you submitted without really considering the bigger picture or taking into account the potential role. As a result, I think things are going to play out in a way that means nothing is going to come of it. It's interesting that you say that you want to do law, but not that particular department... Hope you secure a position that you love. X IP: Logged |

AK, this is your reading xxShould AK conduct her research in Europe? Card pulled: CROSS. I get the impression that your involvement with Europe has come to a natural end for some reason and therefore, whatever link you think you have there is non existent or weak and you may not get the best results if you do research there. Shoul AK conduct her research in Asia? Card pulled: FISH. I get the impression that this is a good choice, because you are currently invested in this continent some how? It could be financial or emotional, but these links stand to provide you with the best results or setting for your research. I asked if the cards could provide you with further information to limit down a country of interest. I pulled: BIRDS + RIDER These card suggest to me that you should pick a country in Asia that you have good social connections to. The presence of the rider suggests that there may be a young man/family member currently in an Asian country that could be quite useful to your research or helpful in getting you access to what you need? Thank you, Ikja. That has been very helpful. I do have social connections in Asia, and with one country in particular, so, it resonates well. Was just checking that Asia was the right choice. Hope you hear some good news soon about your job. Please let us know . IP: Logged |
