Dear ones...

As some know, I lost a beloved dog. But I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to cry too much... I prefer to give love than to get stuck in a situation. I'm planning in adopt a cat for me, but the trouble I'm gonna face is another dog I have. She just had experiences with cats who came to steal her food. My question is: how it will be if I adopt a cat?

Leave me your question...

Hi Dani,
sorry for your loss of your dog, I can totally relate.

What I get on the other dog is she will be weary and in defence mode some time, you need to make the meet and greet very carefully. You will need to give extra love to the dog as I feel the cat would be independant enough not to feel so bad as she will be new and will explore more.
After time both will be ok, but I just feel your other dog may need to be supervised for some time until it gets along with the cat.
Try not to take a very dominant cat as your dog would not let in easy to a new pet.

So, basically it will be a bit of push and pull struggle. But it will also calm down and they will start to get along ok.
I dont feel great love with them but I feel them getting along and being ok.
