In general, I think you're the type to make others feel comfortable and to make people feel homey. You could make him feel like things are stable and secure. So I could say that you generous with your surroundings and being friendly to people. The next card here tells me that someone is may be worried or thinking of what's going to happen. I think this card is talking about you and wanting to know what's going to happen if you do get involved with A more. This card doesn't always have to be about you worrying alot, but could be having this fear deep down. Could be that you thought about it alot as well and the card pops up lol. The next card tells me that you and A are friends or want to be friends? All I know is that in this card, I think you two are friends or wanting to be friends and just being around eachother. There is a feeling that you two trust and tell eachother things.. but then I get the feeling that you two don't always tell eachother things..so like half and half. The last card I have tells me that now or later that someone won't be very happy in the end. It could be that someone is depressed deep down or someone is doing alot of work to make things happen and that's not very good to see. This person could be having a hard time and they feel like they are trying too hard. I'm not sure what these cards are telling me completely, but it looks like someone is not very happy or will not be very happy. There is also a sign of fear here too.. if that's right.

Does any of this make sense? If not, I would like to try a spread for this..

This card is about The warrior Spirit, Leadership, and Direction.

7 of Cups RX, Hanged Man RX, The Hermit

A powerful set of cards here. I think E.W. is moving into a new phase of personal awareness and self-discovery, but he may be resisting this unconsciously or he may not be ready to embrace the necessary self-reflection needed to get himself there. Is he asking you to let go of past hurts between you two? Or is his advice something unrelated to your relationship/friendship? The reason I ask is because these cards speak strongly of an internal desire to delay or redirect some kind of decision or evaluation of goals/purpose. I also see a sense of "giving up" in a way...of taking the easy way out and of isolating himself. Not sure if that's relevant here but I thought I'd mention it.

I don't know that, based on these cards, I can say that E.W. is even fully aware of why he wants to help you - honestly, I'm seeing that perhaps he isn't even aware that he is helping you. I see stagnation in these cards due to an inability to face deeper, unresolved emotions - perhaps due to an inability to let go of illusions of identity. Basically, I think that there may be a need for him to be right about something related to the situation, to show some level of superiority here - not in a bad way, but in a way that makes him feel as though he has the internal power to overcome some kind of struggle he is facing now. What I am seeing is that perhaps he is misdirecting his energy from himself onto others...possibly onto you. My feeling is that, perhaps in giving you that advice, he recognized the same struggle within you and felt that if he helped you he could avoid helping himself...if that makes sense.

Please let me know if any of that resonated. Without really understanding the situation, I'm wondering if E.W. is trying to bow out of a situation and run away from a challenging emotional situation for him rather than facing it. A very interesting spread and a very puzzling reading for me - feedback would definitely be appreciated lol.

Well the help is unrelated to me. I've been sad for a long time now because I care about someone very much but he won't give me a chance. It really kinda scarred me for a long time and this depression really took over my life. This makes perfect sense actually. In that case, I would highlight "My feeling is that, perhaps in giving you that advice, he recognized the same struggle within you...". I think these cards are speaking to you rather than about E.W.'s current state. I believe E.W. is trying to encourage you to face a hard emotional truth. I think he has an intuitive understanding of what is going on with you possibly because he has experienced a similar situation and according to this spread his motivation in helping you is to empower you to get out of this period of stagnation by encouraging you to let go of that which does not serve you. It seems to me E.W. has the best intentions and is here to move you along your own path to self-discovery. The Hanged Man being reversed and of a higher number in the Major Arcana than the Hermit speaks of a need to go back to square one. This is a learning process, but a very important one and I think your friend's hope is to help heal you by guiding you toward that process.

As a side note, I understand what you mean about it being hard to forget someone or something. I don't think E.W. or anyone else who encourages you to let go of this experience expect you to wipe away the past from your memory and continue on as though it never happened. Experiences irrevocably change us and our past will always be part of our present. I think what they are encouraging you to do is to let go of all that keeps you tied to that experience. It is very common for us to mourn what we never had/cannot have without realizing that without experiencing it firsthand all we are experiencing is our projection of it rather than what it truly is. Illusions, feelings of failure/defeat/loss, delusions, self-doubt are what I think your friend is hoping to help you let go of.

I think the Hermit is an important card for you at this time. Maybe sit with it and meditate on its message. Finding yourself again/that light within yourself/your connection to spirit and intuition are important things to help you move past this phase and move on to the next step in your soul journey

Thanks so much ILP! This does make sense actually. He and I are friends but both have strong feelings toward each other - we have sort of ghosted in and out of each other's lives for the past few years. It's a complicated situation and I have stressed and worried about it since day 1 because of all the complications, lol. There is also a deep fear that we both have about our connection - fear of rejection, fear of making a mistake, fear of alienation...like I said, it's very complicated but I feel you have picked up on that well.

Spot on about being open with each other but not really - there is a strong sense of communication but also fear about telling each other everything. There isn't flat out deception to my knowledge, but we are more slow to share things with each other.

Interesting to see the 10 of Wands - I do believe this makes sense. It would be a lot of work to maintain consistent relations with each other and I do fear it may be too much somewhere down the line

Thank you for the extra cards! I guess I'm a little confused as to their message. Are they guiding me to take charge of the situation or to find strength in femininity and a more passive role.
