That crossed my mind.I think I have a psychic block where my emotional triggers are. Meaning, I cannot think of people or animals in pain without it having a serious effect. Sometimes one second of war footage has been enough to clobber me for a week. So it's hard for me to connect with crime, or with youth being disturbed...my mind shies away from that stuff.  My mom is extremely sensitive to violence or references to it in movies or TV shows. Sometimes she looks at me as if I'm a three headed alien when I start talking about a movie or show, or bring up a historical event that I'm interested in. Which is surprising, with her Mercury in Aquarius. That's when I know I'm really weird. I'm an eternal optimist. I like to find the good guy or good guy in disguise in a horrible situation and root for him. As long as the good guy is still fighting, I can look past many things (though not all). I also love complex characters, worlds, and storylines, which seem to abundant in historical crime dramas. And I enjoy matching up the facts with the fiction. Lol. IP: Logged |

Ah, that's wonderful! I love optimism and I'm glad you have it. I can handle violence, horrors when I approach the topic in a controlled way or, in many cases, when I'm physically present. For some reason my mind does not want to psychically "go there." Usually the things I cannot guess about are dark. For instance we had a thread like this before and a girl asked us to describe the image on something, and I couldn't get it for the life of me, and it was a skeleton. I've also looked into Allison DuBois, as she's an 8H moon like I am. But when she described her work, and the horrifying things she sees and knows, I recoiled and thought, "I do NOT want to have her ability!" At this point it would resonate too long inside. I have a slow turnover rate for taking in bad vibes and shaking them off. ---- The moon is transiting conjunct Neptune in Pisces tonight. Maybe we'll have a window for better guessing? IP: Logged |

I popped in briefly last night but get called away from the computer. @SV ~ Glad you understand I think most of us sensitive people need some shielding. I blame my bad vision on that, actually. When I was little it was sensory overload and I just retreated back into myself. I didn't want to see everything, especially not expressions on people's faces. Then, things that were relatively close started looking blurry, as if they were far away. That was a more comfortable distance. @Auntie a) lazy
b) Just another thing to hide from my husband :-/
