I think he wants to end whatever he has with you. he is acting like a little child right now, maybe he thinks that there is a lot of things out there that he is missing and it is your fault that he's missing them, so he treats u like that as a punishment

I wasn't really confident about what this spread was telling me so I did another one:

this confirms what I was thinking; he isn't thinking clearly right now, he thinks that he is missing a lot of good stuff, and that he shouldn't be with you, but he is afraid of leaving you (of making a change in his life, he is basically delaying this decision a lot
he is being quite selfish at the moment, thinking only about him, probably about his work, how his work can improve, how his life can improve, leaving you behind him
basically he feels restricted, and he wants to rebel in some way, but he isn't doing it the right way, causing unnecessary pain cause he just doesn't understand how to do the right thing

8 Wands - Knight Pents - Ace of Wands

Whenever i get wands in reading it almost always means moving forward, action, change, spark, new. Combined with the 8 of wands (which is a group of horses racing down a hill), the notion of action is validated. The knight of Pents is him. He is not mature, he is not evolved yet. I think he is keeping busy. Although thats not saying that he doe snot miss you. I have a feeling he is throwing himself into something else to distract himself.

from experience, I'd say to talk with him, cause if that's what he wants, and that's how he acts, you may wake up one day and he may be gone for real without an explanation, or a short explanation, so talk with him but seriously
