Nothing to be worried about. He just needs closure and wants a final word with you. The current transits have made him a little miserable and now he wants to go back to whatever he finds safe or comforting which includes you. He wants to know if he still has a shot with you. But you need not be worried about it. after bothering you for a while he will have the closure and will move on with his life. however currently he is whimsical and won't let you be on your own. what you're doing is best for now. act ignorant.

you need not worry about it. be adamant on the fact that it wasnt your fault. as the owner you can get the thing fixed up but as you rented the house to them, they took your opportunity to rent it to someone who would actually stay there after repairing the place. they will move out and everything will sort out on a positive note. maybe you will find tenants again. all looks positive here
