So I think J was looking at you that way because he was thinking of something that may have happened between you two were you two a couple or seeing eachother at one time? I feel he was thinking well, it was really joyful knowing being around her. He thought how pleasant it would be to start a friendship again again just a friendship at this time then whatever happens after well that happens but he was thinking how pleasant it would be to be friends again. Seems like you two might of had a tough fall out that also replayed in his head was agonizing for him
