I don't think its going to happen anytime soon, although with lovers in the past, there was something between the 2 of you. it seems there needs to be a resolution to the argument with the ace of swords popping up. Maybe once you guys talk you'll realize it might not be a good idea to date?

Mine is how will my studies go this year?

I suspected I would pull a 2 of pentacles or card about choices in regards to this questions.

I got the
4 of cups in the past
the 2 of wands in the present
page of wands in the future

Pages are in the process of learning to be knights, so I think the key here based ont he 2 of wands to to make sure you take time to study and choose your time wisely so you can be a successful "knight". So it'll be a good year.

I think he'll think you are doing something intentionally to hurt him or get a reacting out of him. Looks like hes offered you love in the past, and wanted discuss it and do the right thing?

My first thought actually was that perhaps J has been or is involved with someone else these last 5 months. Either that or their feelings have just been very up and down and the reason they contacted you was down a sudden flash of inspiration and a sudden decision to contact you.
However, the page on its own indicated to me that they've been mulling over something for ages and not been able to make a decision until now, not knowing what to say exactly, something like that. The other thing that came to mind was that they could be just a very ditzy person- does this resonate?

It looks like there may be some disappointing news on the horizon or it already happened between you two. There is a female as the centre card (queen of pentacles) an earth sign. Since I asked about the relationship between you two if feel it would be you. Your future card was 8 of swords which is showing a bit of fear moving forward with this relationship from his side. I pulled a clarifier and it was the 4 of cups which is showing that he needs time to think. It doesn't show an ending though.

The queen of pentacles is definitely me. I use to be the queen of wands in regards to J and I. I'm glad its changed.

We already did have that talk, and we are trying the friendship thing.

I don't think the Tower is bad either in your reading, I think if things continue with you two not speaking especially after an argument, then it makes sense the tower came up.
