Hi, DannyCappy. If I may share my outlook on cards that you mentioned... Even though there are some basic meanings that each Lenormand card denotes, I firmly believe that there is also very important how each reader gets “acquainted” with particular card. For example: when “Whip” comes forward in my readings, it denotes almost every time some argument or something negative. Therefore from my experiences “Whip” almost never brings anything good. It depends on the cards that surround it of course. But my first thought when I see “Whip” is mostly negative. My friend, fellow reader, feels “Whip” as something “active and quick” (this card in her readings denotes action almost every time), which is quite logical to me, but due to my personal experiences in readings I personally lean more towards negative meaning of this card.
Since Lenormand is read in pairs, I think that one Tarot card can’t only have one Lenormand card as “substitute”.
Ace of Cups – this card reflects love and compassion but also creativity and some overwhelming emotions therefore I would connect her with Lenormand Moon in pair with Heart or maybe even Ring
Two of Cups – I see this cards as attraction being present among two people, it can also indicate an actual relationship therefore I see this card as combination of Ring with either Heart or Tree in some cases even Anchor (stability in relationship) but that may be more the case with Lovers or Ten of Cups card in Tarot deck...
Ten of Cups – to me this card brings beginning of new happy relationship or the “ultimate” satisfaction of a long-term relationship. It shows emotions in balance. Therefore I would say that in Lenormand a combination of Moon with Anchor or Anchor with Heart could have similar meaning.
This is just my personal outlook on this topic. I am sure that other readers can have different outlooks based on their own experiences.
Love to you!
