Hello everyone, after this crucial bad year as I move toward my new solar return phase I'm wondering and trying to evaluate the situation.. Is it my solar return or just the heavy transits that happened to my chart during the year including mars, saturn, neptune, pluto, chrion and jupiter (squares and conjuncts)with eclipses and super moon and full moon conjunct and opposites. so can you please help me understand my solar return for this year ?

Its the heavy transits. Solar returns are a distraction. I don't even use them. The only houses that matter are those defined by your birth chart.------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I'm curious Kannon, why do you consider SRs to be only a distraction? IP: Logged |

The solar return as a separate chart is an attempt to create separate house structures to predict the entire year, entirely ignoring active orbs for planets in transit, etc. The only house definitions that matter are the ones set by your correct birth chart. Also there are two methods for doing this, correcting for precession and not correcting for it. The difference between the two charts is huge after many years of living. Why put so much time into deciding which is best when we have more basic problems of birth chart accuracy in the first place? I don't think it is worth the time when that same effort could be put into ensuring the person's birth chart is accurate and reliable for other methods of prediction/trends. Secondly, The solar return is a very brief transit in effect for several days at most, compared to several years for aspects made by slower outer planets. It is understandable to mark the beginning of your personal 'new year' but this does not require an entirely different chart. Creating another chart distracts from the core guidance and lessons contained within the birth chart. No added chart (solar/lunar return, etc) can ever override the birth chart and the whole transit/progression picture. There is entirely too much added on with too many types of charts which creates confusion, not clarity. Less is more. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I see Thanks for that. I have to agree so far based on my experiences.. Though I have found Lunar Returns to be telling, and that's probably because they represent a shorter time span. I've read before that in the SR, every house sort of represents a month for the year, and the planets in each house represent events for that month, and I didn't really understand that at all. yeah .. I always find that transits are more convincing but whenever I see someone interpret accurately right using SR I start to wonder how, some also predict using transits to the SR chart but I never get it that's why I have many questions regarding that and wanted to try it on myself IP: Logged |
