To clarify I got ship. Hmm..Is it possible that you and him are not close or like distant from each other? Usually I would get ship as either distance physically or just the both of you are not like close as friends? also ship can indicate longing as well..

Stork - book - man - (mice)

From the book in the middle, I'm not sure if he did knew, because book shows something hidden or private. Unless he knew and kept it to himself.
Stork shows a relocation or being relocated.. I kinda see it as going to a place then going back. The book next shows someone is hiding or keeping to their self.
Book + mice shows someone being private or again someone/something is hidden, but mice does show some nervousness or being eager? Was you nervous that day or kinda eager? Maybe it could of been him feeling like the mice and he may had knew about it. Either way the mice is next to the man so someone could of been nervous/worried.

Well, I pulled in 2 times for you because I wasn't sure of my cards the first time but 2 cards on the 3 come back again !! Star and Whip.

1st draw was whip/Fish/Star and I was wondering if he was worried about something bad about your health, your development, your growth, right now and that he really wanted, as dreaming, to take care of you physically ...

Then I pull :

Star / Sun / Whip
(It's fun because Fish and Sun are on growth LOL )

I wonder if he told you that in the evening, otherwise he might hope for happiness, fulfillment and growth. His feelings for you look warm, gentle, protective, romantic and true ... Would he have some reasons to worry about you, have fear about something like weak health, reckless behavior, family concerns? Otherwise, the cards can show that it was for him a somewhat passionate way of telling you that he loves you deeply ..

I had a hard time trying to figure this out too lol.

But whip shows Frustration, but also show repetition. He was repeating that he care and I was confused. The fish shows deep feelings or something deep.
Stars shows being clear.
Whip + star shows being clear with how he feels, by repeating himself..

star shows clarity or being clear, sun shows happiness, so maybe he wanted to show that I make him happy and that whip shows repetition (again).

I think he knew I was upset about something and he was trying to make things clear with me.
