If you don't know, 90's rocker Chris Cornell of the band Soundgarden committed suicide after a show yesterday. I may have only been a toddler in the early 90's when grunge rock was at it's peak, but I dod grow up with the music and still listen to it to this day. I thought it would be worthwhile to look at his chart (no accurate birth time) for any possible signs of suicide. It always fascinates me to see what in a person's chart could possibly trigger them to commit suicide or do something else so life-altering. Here's a link to his chart: https://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Chris_Cornell 1. Moon (the ruler of Cancer, his sun sign) square Pluto. 2. I have known a few Sag moons who have committed suicide. They sometimes try to hide their sadness with humor and a cheerful disposition, so it's often a shock when they end their life. 3. His sun was at 28 Cancer which is the same degree as two other famous people who committed suicide: writers Earnest Hemingway and Hunter S. Thompson (Thompson likely had a Sag moon as well): https://www.google.com/amp/s/ohioastrology.com/2011/12/26/28-degrees-of-cancer-ernest-hemingway-and-hunter-s-thompson/amp/ 4. He had a tight Sun semisquare Pluto meaning he was ruthless with himself and never gave himself a break. He was very critical of himself. 5. Cancer placements tend to make someone quite sensitive and prone to being emotional. I am a Cancer rising and have dealt with anxiety and depression for years. I am an extremely emotional and sensitive person who feels everything deeply and takes things to heart. IP: Logged |

Since you don't have an accurate birth time, his natal moon may have also been square to his natal Saturn.I believe that what happens with people is meant as a learning event for the people they leave behind. So sad for his family and fans. Spring IP: Logged |

His passing by taking his own life comes as a huge shock, and especially if you look at his last tweet he left behind not too long ago. I didn't grow up with his music either but he was an icon in the music scene and inspired lots of my favorite bands. It's so sad that this happened.IP: Logged |

In its simplest form, if you pull up his chart on astrotheme his Sun is barely aspected (only minorly) so while the semisquare may have some merit, I would consider this unaspected. Very tough for the native who may not have a firm grasp on their own identity. Too bad we don't know his birth time because I think his moon being challenged has a lot to do with it.IP: Logged |

i am a big fan of him. I was very much into grunge in my teen days and a huge crush on Chris. I am 43 now. Anyways… It is hard to predict suicide by looking at the birth charts.. Two friends of mine committed suicide and sucide possibility was on the transits not natals..He has Sag moon and Gemini Leo planets… which is telling me Saturn in Sag must have been hard on him. Opposing his Gemini planets and conjuncting Moon. Trs.Mars in currently in Gemini opposing Moon. which he has in his natal chart. Impulsive emotional actions triggered by emotional upset or anger… Mars in Gemini squaring his Virgo Planets Uranus and Pluto and Pisces planets Saturn and Chiron. I am disregarding degrees… Some say it was not suicide but sex gone wrong… The above aspects could increase sexual apetite except mars saturn square… Sexual experiment etc.. But when I think of his lyrics he was flirting with death and suicide.. it is very clear on No such thing… IP: Logged |

Any guesses as to his ASC? I looked up images of "chris cornell young", and the IMMEDIATE vibe I got was Venusian(in a Taurus way, not Libra). Kannon hazarded the exact opposite of what I'd have guessed - mid-Scorpio - but I don't see the intensity and fierceness of Scorpio at all -- if you look at the pictures, I get the "calm, un-flappable, stoic, slow" Taurus vibe. Chester Bennington is a Scorp ASC with the same Moon (Sag) - Chester has that Scorpio look described. IP: Logged |
