I think he did that because he feels really hurt. Have you had any issues together ? If yes, It seems that he doesn't want to feel himself responsible for all this and for this situation, so he stands on the defense and at the same time may feel like a prisoner of that. This kick him and therefore he acts impulsively and hastily when he answers you. I think he could seek emotional satisfaction, realize a desire, be happy and satisfied but he holds back and keeps his feelings for him. Did he feel hurt in some way at the wrong time or did you injure each other while you were dreaming of getting your relational goal together?

Thank you. It's very accurate actually and yes we hurt each other when we were supposed to get together. He kind of threw something I said before back at me last night.

For you I got the hermit, 7 of Cups and 3 of wands

So they are in a phase where they are getting to know you, studying you and doing a lot of day dreaming about you but they are also keeping their options open it seems. Doesn't mean they're not interested because I feel they are but maybe this person is a practical thinker and doesn't want to put all their eggs in one basket.

Ok, so Clouds in the middle suggests that he is not feeling in the best of spirits regarding you right now, he is kinda taken aback by something and he doesn't see the light at th end o the tunnel. No I don't see a 3rd person. I could only draw 2 cards for some reason.

Queen of Swords and King of Swords. So seems that right now there is no one else on the horizon. They may be keeping their options open but there is no one right now. I asked for 3rd card and got page of Wands. He's facing towards the cards so looks like he is invested in this right now.
