So are u and j already separated? I do pick up a lot of distance between you two.

I feel like he's in sorrowful state and detaching himself from you. With you, he's been sort of reflecting on his memories and choosing to walk away from whatever potential future you guys could have had. I think he wants to keep his positive feelings for you in the past and start new.

Another reason for this distance - there's another female in his life he just started communications with. He's sort of in this phase of thinking what ifs with her . It's not serious as I feel it only happening recently.
