I think that these two people have a complicated relationship. It isn't friendship yet... perhaps coworkers? Regardless, they are actively trying to keep some kind of connection between them alive... but it's very difficult.

Emotionally, D sees S as a bit forlorn and negative, though, also very steady. I get a feeling S might be a Scorpio (or Scorpio Moon/Venus) and have an emotional intensity that can be overpowering at times. Regardless, D understands that S is also a steady person: mature, in control, and unwavering. I think there is an admiration there; though, it might be a bit begrudging.

Physically, I think D is a little intimidated by S (either S is more fit and statuesque, or perhaps just taller), but S definitely comes across as friendly and inviting. There's a lack of sexual energy here (which makes me think this relationship is more platonic). However, if this is a romantic relationship trying to take off, the Mountain + Dog can quite literally indicate a friend-zone vibe (D likes S, but isn't romantically attracted to them).

Additionally, D's feelings for S are transforming right now. The Coffin says there is movement away from seeing S just as a sort of moody, permanent fixture in D's life, in favor of a possible future friend. There's some optimism there, but again, it won't be easy.

In the past, the Cross and Anchor suggests that there is a karmic edge to this relationship -- it is important and meant to have a long last affect on both D and S's lives. The Cross suggests this might not have started off as a friendship or even friendly, but the situation is slowly changing with the Coffin, and in the future, looks to become the Mountain and Dog. I think a friendship will develop, but it won't be all shopping and gossip and laughter. There will need to be a great deal of allowance on both parties' part, to let the other person be themselves. If this can happen, however, it is designed to make both parties better people, as the Mountain lies before the dog.

When the Clouds are tacked on to a spread, it suggests that a great many things are still up in the air (which compliment the Coffin and Mountain fairly well). Things are still in the process of changing, but it does seem like, with a little dedication, this relationship will get better.

The last aspect is what can't readily be seen about D and S's relationship and what can. With the Anchor and Mountain paired, this tells me things are going to change anytime soon. In fact, this could take weeks if not months -- whatever this Coffin transition is between D and S. However, what is evident is that the Cross and Dog are creating a fated link between D and S. They were supposed to meet, they are supposed to be involved in each other's lives, and while it will be difficult... ultimately, it will be paying karmic debt and accruing karmic reward for the next life.

I’m so glad that the Lenormand registered! It’s been awhile since I used them, so I was nervous. D and S definitely have a karmic connection going on; though, it’s a bit tense. I can definitely see D being attracted to S, but put off by her emotions and/or some inner, lingering feelings of annoyance.

I guess my only other question would be if I will be able to afford my apartment on my own, after my roommate leaves this month? Or if I have to get another.

What about you?? Any q’s?

I see that the place you're living at is bad or damaged, or not comfortable or cozy. It doesn't feel like a home, or it could be because you're scared of your roommate or dislike them. Is it also true you're making money through your home or land? I see an indication showing that it's helping you save a lot of money. I see you moving to a new apartment/home in your neighbourhood. It will be in the local area. So you you will move very soon. I can't tell exactly in how much time but I see that it will happen soon. Did your roommate do something unexpected? If not they will, I see that they will do something selfish or unexpected that will shock you.

The keyword for this reading is "transformation" or even "massive change." I get the sense that this relationship is deeply linked (perhaps a marriage, but not of love -- like a partnership?) - I would definitely like to quit working in higher education. I'm coming up on 8 years, and it's just too taxing for the salary and limited, upward movement (which sounds cutthroat and ambitions, but I mean it more in a personal growth way; it's easy to stagnate and feel trapped).

- My current place hasn't really felt like home; it's fine, but we do have two neighbors that are a bit stressful, and my landlord is a bit Type A and intense. I'm not making any money from home (aside from a few tarot readings here and there), and the biggest issue is that I haven't been able to save any money, which is why I'm nervous about my roommate moving out. It'll be a great hardship, and I still have 6 months on my lease (unless I can get a new job that covers those costs). And my roommate did shock me (he's my brother), because he did just announce that he was leaving a bit sooner than expected.
