I have a lot of 9th house going on. I've read the 9th house is supposed to be a joyous, expansive and adventurous. With that said it also pertains to the law and that's making me uneasy for sure. The 9th rules higher education and law, but it doesn't rule incarceration (12th), but why is there so much Jupiter going on for me this year when I don't plan on doing anything? As of now the only fun things I'm doing is making music with my friends, jamming, and practicing my guitar playing for bands. Maybe I'll be touring with people locally? Either way I don't know how to feel. Saturn is also conjunct my DSC and Pluto is in 7th Capricorn. I posted this here because this is the only place to get a legitimate response. My chart contains a grand trine in water. Here's the chart (Solar/Natal): IP: Logged |

We have a lot of similar things.Last year Tpluto was on my 7th house and Tsaturn.I didn't recognize any pattern with these two.Now about the sun in 9th house:I had a major focus on spiritual growth.I started to believe in myself more.I started to be more optimistic about future.I was depressed so it helped somehow.Difficult year but I'm reaping rewards now,I think I'm feeling almost on track. I also had moon in 1st house SR.(I have that natally). It was a emotional year for me but I think most likely because I also had a conjunction to uranus.Very unstable. I think 9th house sun is similar to the hermit card on tarot but without the isolation.Just searching for knowledge on how to improve yourself and a lot of reflection about what matter in life. I wouldn't let it influence my feelings at all. Instead, I'd watch the slower transits to natal points and understand their processes in personal development, because their lessons and urges are unavoidable and extend beyond a single year. For example, Pluto's transit conjunct your natal Neptune and Venus. That is a process of at least a few years of learning heightened, transformative love. That is a major process and lasts much longer than one year. Understanding that transit alone can make a difference in the next few years of your life. Neptune transits conjunct your natal Saturn. That too will last longer than a year. Uranus transits square your natal Neptune-Venus-Uranus, which can be a confusing time of idealism and shifting perceptions. That transit to natal Neptune-Venus has already been in effect for the last year. As to Jupiter, it was recently square natal Mercury [17 south] and is now parallel it, a good time to expand your mind through learning and conversations that could win you new friends. That window of opportunity extends through April, but the square picks up again in June, continues into August; then the parallel begins again and lasts into October. In all, a really lucky transit combo by Jupiter to your Mercury for a time in which your mind is more flexible and open, your curiosity heightened, your desire to converse with others stimulated. A great transit! If anything, this is where the Jupiter energy comes into play for you now, not in the 9th house of a solar return chart that I can tell you with certainty in your case is inaccurate and misleading. My point is I've seen so much confusion over solar return charts that is unnecessary -- not confusion as to interpretation, but even its place and relevance. More often than not solar return charts skew perspective through misdirection, with dual sets of houses creating confusion leading to anxiety. What's the point of that? Robert Hand's book Planets in Transit gives good insights to understand any of the major transits (conjunctions, sextiles, trines, squares, oppositions) by all the planets. It's not an exclusive text. Anyone can buy a used copy for a good price. If you want to understand how your next year will go, understand the growth process you are in and how to handle the energies of the transits that show up in the solar return chart, but will last much longer than 1 year. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Declinations: because the planets move north and south of the celestial equator IP: Logged |

I've learned to put very little stock in solar returns. I read all these horrifying predictions based on certain aspects and then nothing dramatic ends up happening to me. One year I had this angry looking grand cross in my solar return and it was a pretty uneventful year. Same job, same home, same family, same life...maybe a few bumps in my personal relationships but who doesn't have those in any given year? Life will have the same ups and downs no matter what the chart says. IP: Logged |
