The reason I started looking at this in the first place is because I wondered if I'd been thrown off course by a move to another continent that I didn't control, as it was very early on.

Still over here.. and I haven't found my feet.

Thanks for your input

I am not able to see the chart on my end for some reason.

What I wanted to check were planets in the 3rd house or the 9th house that arced to conjunct the Ic or the Mc respectively.

For instance, I have Moon 18 arcing to conjunct the Ic from the 3rd house 22

When I was 4 years old. My younger sister was born(18-22)

So I wanted to see the arcs in your chart

Hi Aries,

Are arcs used for significant events then?

I read that the personalised solar arc increment is added to natal significators, uniformly progressing the horoscope symbolically so that new revealing aspects are formed between the solar arc positions and the natal positions.

How do you get the increment, Aries? Thanks

Yes. Solar Arcs do point to significant life changes (whether external or internal).

You write very well and so Sun ruling the 3rd house(expression), Sun in 2nd(vocal chords)and Mercury in 3rd(natural home) in semi-sextile aspect to Sun points to this.
I wonder if you have a singing voice or do public speaking?

Sun contra parallels Jupiter/Neptune too-adding a tendency to never know when you are saying too much or too little in your expression. Whether you are not specific enough or too detailed etc.

Progressions as well as Transit emphasize the nature of the event. The more interaction there is between the 3 and the natal chart, the better.

The Asc 11 Cancer/Mc17 Pisces with the time and date given. With Mercury 4 Virgo (ruler of the Ic) arcing to conjunct the Ic at 17 Virgo at age 13.

Also at that time,Saturn in 4 Gem arced to square the Mc/Ic axis at that age 13 too.

I don't know whether there was a significant home life/ job status change that culminated adjustment at age 13?

The Moon in 17 Sco arced to square Mars 19 Aqua at age 2.

Moon generally rules the home life and inner world. In your chart, it rules the Asc(physical body) and so its arc to Mars at age 2 may be significant.

Jupiter 26 Sco arced to conjunct Nep Sag 0 at age 4.

Jupiter generally rules travel, religion and education(higher). In your chart it rules the 6th house (Sag) of health and wellbeing. Its arc to conjunct Nep could point to health issues.

Sometimes the solar arcs point to the environment and parents. But the more accurate the birth time the better.

Decisive moves may have Pluto there(when permanent).Solar arc Ic 17 Virgo arced to conjunct Pluto 27 at age 10.

Age 10 would be significant for complete domestic/career change according to the time on the chart

Play around with your chart planetary arcs square, conjunct or oppositions to see if there is a link.

Use traditional rulers and include modern rulers if needs be.

Moon rules your 1st
Sun rules your 2nd and 3rd
Mercury rules your 4th
Venus rules your 5th
Jupiter your 6th
Saturn your 7th
Saturn your 8th(modern ruler Uranus)
Saturn your 9th(modern ruler Uranus)
Jupiter your 10th(modern ruler Neptune)
Mars your 11th
Mercury your 12th

Taurus/Scorpio is intercepted
Leo/ Aquarius is duplicated.

Google Lauren Delsack and watch her videos on chart rectification using solar arcs. It may be helpful to get your feet wet
