Honestly, I don't think it'll be the best choice if you want to keep the relationship. More fights will ensue and there will be a battle of the wills. At some point the relationship will become toxic and will require you to take a step back, and possibly break up with that person. It also seems like there is a lack of mutual respect for each other's perspectives here.
