Please feel free to point out any and all you notice about this particular person's love nature & how they would be in a relationship. Here is their chart:

I will try to confirm, elaborate or explain my views and experiences. I wonder how they will be described as a partner looking at their chart.

however, upon a cursory view of the chart, I see that his chart ruler Pluto is in the 12th house and from that we can gather they are a very introverted person and at some point in life they will be very spiritually inclined, a Tibetan monk comes to mind. Very charming in social circumstances, very pleasant manners and well liked but not many long term friends, friends are coming and going. Relationships will be very important for this individual with Sun in the 7th house but partners will tend to suck the energy out of them because they feel so co-dependent and reliant on partnerships. Love will be tumultuous, unrequited love relationships, lots of up and downs and lots of tears after forbidden, lost love. Strong drive for money and business, ownership and real estate. Possessive, controlling, stable.

All of this sounds quite true from what I know and have seen. They are incredibly friendly and are reliant on human contact, though friendships and close relationships have been marked by considerable ups and downs. I am especially interested in what you think of the push and pull represented by a few things I see: Venus in Gemini though in the 8th house, intensified by pluto but opposed by Neptune and Uranus so among commitment, some distance and experimentation and idealization. And 7th house ruler is Taurus. Do you think they really are reliant on a committed relationship? What would an ideal mate look like for this person, astrologically, in your opinion?

Venus is practically unapsected because the aspects to the other planets are very wide, to Pluto it is too wide to be counted, to Neptune it is also very wide, it is basically unaspected which means its reaction will depend on whatever planets it touches within partner's chart. In 8t house- it is a very deep but dramatic Venus. I have that, and it is a very shaky Venus there. Shattering when in love, actually.
Sun in the 7th house, yes- co dependency and needing human relations. I have this position of the Sun as well. 7t house ruler Venus in the 8th house- Scorpio themed relationships as well as Plutonic partners will be the draw here. Taurus-Scoprio -Capricorn mixture of planets in partners for sure, because 7th house ruler is in the 8th BUT also, 7th house is in Taurus and Taurus rules solar 2nd house which is mostly occupied by Capricorn in his chart along with Mars there in Capricorn.
So, Scorpio-Taurus-Capricorn is going to be someone they feel attracted to. Could be also someone with Aqua planets, because 7th house ruler is Venus in Gemini and natural/solar house for Gemini is the 3th house which in this case is in Aqua + Capricorn.

I think I empathize with your experience with 8th house venus because my venus is in Scorpio, and I often wish I didn't experience romantic feelings so intensely. Do you experience sun in the 7th house as long, committed relationships and an inability to let go?

Thanks for the heads up about the degrees, you are right, they are rather wide. Well, I'm a Libra sun, Capricorn ascendant, Gemini moon with Merc/Venus in Scorpio so I believe I do have some of the elemental qualities you mentioned. Let's see how we fare.

your Libra Sun matches their Sun in the 7th, based on affinity as Sun in the 7th is like Sun in Libra. However, in my own case, my sun in the 7th does not attract me too much to Librans even though I do like them a lot. And I also have Venus in Libra.
Your Sun in Libra will fall into their 11th house, the house of friendship. Place your bets on your Moon as it falls into their 8th house, that's a sexual, erotic, watery connection.

Yes, we do have a very friendly rapport, I also enjoy meeting people with him tremendously which I attribute to the 11th house placement. My Venus falls into their 12th house, with the moon falling falling into their 7th, with a wide conjunct to their Sun.

8th house in general is arduous and entrancing, isn't it. All 8th house closeness & negotiations happen like an eclipse. Really quite tiring sometimes.

I feel like I understand their natal chart a little bit more now, and have you to thank for this.

Communication is going to be really important for them. They want someone who is smart, intellectual, witty and likes to talk and they have a good mental connection with. This is shown by Venus in Gemini (which is also the 7th ruler) plus mercury in the 7th. Also going to want someone very stable, affectionate, grounded and predictable. Someone solid, down to earth, maybe good with money and sensual, would also prefer their partner to be physically attractive forsure, because of the Taurus DSC but also the sun there. I’ve never seen a Leo or sun in the 7th not be vain and care about appearances or be with someone who is “ugly”. So looks/appearances are important to this person as well as a mental connection and someone smart. Will also be attracted to someone confident and playful/warm personality. Someone more outgoing and bubbly but who is still stable, practical and sensual/affectionate. Loyalty is a must as well.
The libra moon shows this person will be good in relationships. Will want to be in a partnership and probably feels lost without one with the sun in the 7th too. Strong libra energy. Diplomatic, knows how to compromise, likes to be together a lot and do things together. Needs to be with someone who is fair and not selfish, needs a balanced harmonious relationship. And again, will want an attractive partner lol moon in libra likes pretty things (and people).

And the 5 and 6 degrees oppositions to his Venus DO count, any conjunctions or oppositions within 8 degrees are felt I promise you. The closer is obviously going to be even stronger, but they do still affect the person and their personality forsure.
So he is going to be a bit hot and cold with his own affections (Uranus), might have had some unusual or unstable relationships in their past even though they crave stability, and be attracted to someone who can still be independent and maybe different or rebellious in some way.
With the Neptune, idealistic. Unrealistic expectations and maybe gets disappointed a lot. Will break up once the fantasy is gone or the illusion is shattered is a possibility.

Yup, imagination and curiosity invigorate them, I feel. LunaIscariot, with your Neptune and Uranus comments (thanks!) would you then necessarily agree the earlier opinion that they are stable and resourceful? One issue I have with Uranian energy is that people who are Uranian in nature demand stability and accountability in some way or other but can find it difficult to offer, or even resent the prospect of having to. I grapple with the idea of how does one offer a Uranian individual stability without feeling a bit shortchanged

Good question.
I think the way a uranian person in terms of relationships (so aqua DSC or uranus in the 7th or conjunct Venus) wants stability is in terms of friendship and companionship. They want to know both people can be independent, take time outs from each other, but still know that everything is fine and when you reconnect that solid bond of friendship is still there. They won’t mind erraticness, unpredictability in the persons nature, but they need to know that the independence won’t mean growing apart etc.
I think for him, it will manifest mostly in wanting someone exciting and very stimulating and unique or different in some way. He doesn’t actually have Uranus in his 7th or conjunct his Venus, it’s the opposition and it’s wider so it’s not going to be TOO intense. His Taurus DSC and the ruler being in the 8th helps a lot with wanting more stability in the traditional sense.
He himself will be a bit erratic in terms of showing affection. One week he could be all over someone and the next he doesn’t respond to texts or doesn’t want to hang out as much the next week.

Great distinction, LunaIscariot. It does make sense that Uranian folk like the idea of being able to count on a large tribe scattered around the cosmos. To them it's just a matter of perceiving distance differently, then. Makes a lot of sense. When you shift the perspective like that, I guess even the term "shortchange" doesn't apply anymore because theoretically the freedom works in all directions, but it's not perceived as such by all, and it's not something one can fake, I don't find, and it's not for everyone. Conversely, some people tend to make homes out of the people they love. (Cancers, Scorpios, maybe even Taureans a little bit?)

Tbh, what you say about erratic affection & scattered attention is too true! My previous two partners were both Virgo, so this dynamic does sometimes like a creaky roller coaster after years of reliable & slow choo choo train!

I really appreciate all your comments and insights.
